Location and staff was great. Restaurants was not great but they have many varieties.

One of our room had a weird smell , like a really intense bug spray or oven gas. Even though they never sprayed that room due to my son's allergy. When I talked to housekeeping about it, they said they don't smell anything. Although it was really strong for the 4 of us.

Zanzibar is a beautiful destination..lovely people, friendly and polite.

Breakfast was good. As were all the meals. The Italian restaurant however was disappointing, the entertainment was great, something for everyone. The snack bar was also a good alternative if one decided to have a lay in, or was not in the mood for the breakfast at the main restaurant.

The mosquitoes, the verandas need some sort of gauze so that is comfortable to sit on the veranda in the evening. Also the soak away for the effluent seems challenged because at times the toilet would get blocked.
