The property is amazing. Is located in the best beach areas (don't suffer as much with the tides) and the hotel is beautiful.

The service does not match the quality of the property. It all seems a little loose and the staff should be more up to date with guests requests. It is really a shame that a place like this does not have an exceptional service.

Everything was great- apart from the food

Zuri has one of the nicest beaches in Zanzibar. The rooms are nice, clean with a cool private balcony.

The only disappointment at Zuri is the food. The A la carte restaurant has very limited options, we didnt know what to order nothing was appealing and then the portions were small & the food was below average. We could not go back there to have dinner. The only good dinner we had at the hotel was at the Fish night (for which you pay extra). Otherwise we had to go outside the hotel to have good meals. At breakfast, despite having very sweet fruits on all of the island the fruits picked for the hotel are sour and tasteless.

Best hotel I ever stayed and I travel often

Amazing hotel located at the most beautiful beach. Staff extremely helpful,,food amd coctails excellent quality. I stayed ib 6 different hotels in Zanzibar but only Zuri created peaceful paradise experience in each aspects. Outstanding place!

Really nice hotel

Though relatively expensive, you definitely get what you are paying for, in terms of the facilities offered, activities, excellent food and different entertainment each day. Our room was beautifully situated in a secluded tropical garden to maximise a persons privacy. Being smartly designed to accommodate all our needs and much more indoors and outdoors, such as an outdoor shower, hammock and ceiling fan in the balcony, soaps made with spices, natural mosquito repellent, etc. This room really made our stay enjoyable and we felt like settling down. The beach section with its seating area and some entertainment options (e.g. tennis table, football, etc.) as well as the bar area were very nice too. Lastly, though we didnt get a chance to sit in the pool area or in the other bar inside the premises of the hotel, Id say both looked appealing.

I strongly recommend the hotel to instruct all its employees (especially the males) to make sure they show equality in the service and treatment they provide to all guests, regardless of their gender, as unfortunately some of them were lacking this, while working in a hotel that seems to strive in welcoming all its paying guests. For example, ask the women guests too if everything is ok and not just their husbands (while it seemed some of the male waiters serving a couple were completely ignoring the womans existence, not even looking at her or replying to her comments, but only considering the mans). Also, consider putting the bill in the middle of the table and not give it automatically every time to the man only, assuming (wrongly sometimes) he is the breadwinner.

Staff come every time to the table when we eat. Like dude just let us eat. Ask everytime if he can take our plates, which werent even empty. Didnt provide wifi right away. Had to ask and wait.

Very good

Food was very good and the quality of the resort finish was the best I've experienced on Zanzibar. Staff were also very nice as you expect on Zanzibar.

The security guards on arrival were really unfriendly. Very high security sense. And the uniforms backed this up. Not what you expect on Zanzibar. I real disconnect from the resort that definitely needs addressing.

This is by far the best resort in Zanzibar, everything was beyond our expectations. The beach and the views are absolutely incredible, very rich breakfast, extremely delicious food, very clean and luxurious villa and everything is TOP!!! The fire on the beach at sunset is brilliant and we felt very safe, the staff is really doing their best. Your only regret will be when you leave. PS: we really loved yoga with Claudia
