Exceptional place. Beautiful, hyper comfortable, clean. The staff do an incredible job at fulfilling, nay, anticipating your wishes. I couldn't have had a better time.

Beautiful and peaceful hotel with very attentive and accomodating staff

Beautiful hotel with very attentive and accomodating staff. If you are looking for peace and relaxation, this is the place for you. The food in the restaurant was excellent with great variety. Hazel, Hassan and the staff took great care of everything. Free Yoga lessons with Jackson and the massage in the spa are highly recommended. Communication before arrival via WhatsApp is easy and transportation can be arranged ahead of time. Good walking and running possibilities on long and sandy beach.

Not the hotel's fault but worth mentioning: Annoying and persistent vendors at the beach (as in other places in Zanzibar). The sea is mediocre for swimming (compared to Nungwi), especially at low tide (protected by a reef, i.e. very warm water with lots of seaweed). We preferred staying at the pool.

Great place to chill out and relax if you're looking for a quiet holiday

The property is beautiful - lots of greenery, trees, and flowers - and the staff are professional and friendly. Our room was impeccably clean and had everything that we needed. The chef is super talented; breakfast was great (the chickpea pancake was especially delicious!), and dinner was very impressive. We weren't too hungry mid-day, but there are great snacks at Spicy Mama's just down the beach. Zanziblue is a great spot for visitors who just want to chill out, walk along the beach (yes there are beach boys that will try to sell you things and excursions, but not too many), and swim in the ocean when the tide is high.

I just wish we lucked out with better weather! It was very rainy during our November visit so I don't think we got to experience the hotel at its very best, but even in the rain it was a peaceful place to be.

Relaxing Zanzibar experience

They offer multiple services (transfers, tours, laundry, rentals etc.) and the staff was kind, helpful and flexible. The style of the entire place is blending with the island: less concrete, more vegetation and natural materials, while providing good amenities. On-site is a very good restaurant - Mzee Husa, and a bar.

The lack of TV in room may be an issue, but not for us. The chairs in the restaurant were uncomfortable.

WONDERFUL

very nice place with extremely friendly staff. We enjoyed it barefoot, because there is a sink everywhere. Better than the pictures, we'll be back soon!
