The location is really good. It's down a narrow alley with the city palace just a few minutes walk away. The hotel rooms overlook the lake which is lovely. Ask for a room on a higher floor as rooms on the 1st floor do not offer much privacy as people on the terrace below can look into the windows. The hotel is simple but clean. There is a lovely roof terrace which has great views. The staff are very helpful and responsive. You can easily contact them via WhatsApp. They arranged a taxi for us without issue and agreed to change our room after we requested being placed on a higher floor for better privacy. Due to political protests taking place at our next destination, we had to make last minute changes and find an alternative destination. Pawan was very helpful, he extended our check out time and offered to reserve a room at a better rate as we were going to have to fly out the next day. While we decided not to take up the offer, this was appreciated nonetheless. In light of the protests, Pawan suggested an alternative location to travel to, and remained in touch to make sure we arrived safely. He organised our taxis to our next hotel and also to the airport for our onward travels. We appreciated his assistance very much.

The roof terrace has the potential to be an amazing space but needs better lighting as it was very dark in the evening. The bathrooms need an upgrade as the blinds on the doors are tattered. On one of the evenings there was a bad smell of drains however this eventually cleared up. The hotel organised a guide for us at their own initiative. We didn't request this but were open to it. However we were given little detail as to what the tour would include but were repeatedly assured that it would include "everything" and were told that the guide would be with us all day. We met the guide, who took us to City Palace. This was great and he was very informative. He then took us to a carpet shop within the palace walls for a demonstration of hand made carpets after which the owner proceeded to show us loads of carpets to tempt us into buying one. We did, but even after lots of bargaining, felt that we likely overpaid. We then went to a temple and to a viewing spot along the lake, passing through the town along the shops. We also stopped at an art shop owned by the guide's friend and given a demonstration of miniature art. Perhaps there was a miscommunication but at around lunch the guide told us the tour was over and we could do the remaining stops we discussed in the morning by ourselves. The tour was good but given that within the City Palace there are billboards with recommended guide fees which were less than a 1/4 of what we paid, albeit just for the palace tour, you could probably find a better tour for a better price with some research of your own.
