First of all hosts Sabina and Eve are extremely responsible, solution oriented,providing fast and seamless support. The place is spacious, the details are nice and thought. Don't think that something is missing all are there just look for it . Matches, mosquito repellents (all sorts) in every room ,kitchen , living room.Electric adapters of different types as well. Large kitchen with a nice large wooden table for 8 ,double door ice machine fridge and most kitchen tools are there for your convenience. I like to use it all, when I want that's why I choose entire homes instead of hotels. All sorts of tools in the garden and garage area(for 2 cars ) if you are that type.There is also a fishing rod :) You can rent both cars for a very good rate one is automatic and one is Manuel (mini cooper and a Toyota ) both are ok for 4-5 pax BBq is sufficient enough for 6-8.We have left a full pack charcoal for the next DIY lovers :) Garden is nice we liked the trees, lovely colourfull birds tweeting around all day. The pool area is convenient.Pool is not deep and might not be OK for all swimmer groups and families but enough for morning baths,cooling after walks around. Location was the important choice for us since we like Point De Cannonier.Mont Choisy beach is near by and for us it's the place we prefer to be. 2 small but get whatever you want local markets are just in a walking distance ( real walking distance 5-7 mins walk with kid ) One of them provides all sorts of sauces, duck , steaks, ptes etc. the other one is full of everything you may need ,dont forget to look carefully or just ask since Vana is a small market but packed with lots of things including alcohol .I liked both Vana and Bazaar Cannonier markets. Grand Baie is close and you can find restaurants up to your taste or take aways. Walk slow, take your time to feel and live .Stop taking selfies for an hour,don't schedule 10 things in a day.

I have read that some people mentioned the place is worn and needing renovations. For us it was not an issue of urgency and/or high necessity.Small checks can be done especially for the plastic details of equipment (bathroom etc) since moisture can damage such in time. But as it is the house gives a different vibe and we liked it even more than if it was in a pristine condition. It is an island, so you should be adaptive , foreseeing some natural occurrences.There can be bugs yes it is as it should be , so empty your coffee machines water and wash it again those creatures like to get in such places it's no big deal :) and it's not your hosts mistake .We can't nuke the habitat just because of our unrealistic expectations of island life on the screen :))

The villa is fantastic, and the communication with the host was seamless - we received all the necessary information to check in smoothly. Finding the villa was not difficult at all. The host was waiting for us with the keys and gave us a tour of the property. Additionally, we received a list of places worth visiting and a guide to exploring the area. The public beach, Canonnier Bay, is very close to the apartment, and Mont Choisy Beach is a bit further away. During our stay, the gardener and the cleaning staff took great care of the villa. We had an incredible time here, and the location allowed us to explore the island. We felt safe throughout our stay, and it exceeded our expectations.

Clean house with well kept tranquil pool

The house is a nice double story villa, was very clean and has a beautiful pool. The house is well equipped and rooms are super spacious. There is a superb Boulangerie within ten minutes walk with great breads, pastries and good coffee that opened at 7am. The Grocery store has all the basics and the Rustic Bazar next door is stocked with the most beautiful cheese, charcuterie and local butter, yoghurt, fruits, ready made meals, etc. frequented by discerning locals. The shop owner is a lovely helpful lady.

The property popped up when searching for 'beach front' accommodation which it definitely was not. It was at least 10 minutes walk from where you can access the sea. In this area you can go to Mont Choisy Beach which is quite a nice beach about a 20 minute walk from the house. There were government works on Pointe aux Cannoniers beach so could not access most of that beach, only a small part of it. The roads are not pedestrian friendly, so watch out, especially at night! It was almost impossible to find the house, luckily our taxi driver made a huge effort - he had to stay on the phone with the host for 10 minutes to find the entrance which is hidden and the roads are not marked. The road name we were given does not exist as it is not marked anywhere, either on road or maps. I also am not sure why the host sent a person to clean the floors half way through our stay. The gardener and also the pool people came during our stay (of only four days), so if you wanted privacy, you were not going to get that.

Place was just like the photos, not worn out. Big and fully equipped with everything you need. We had a nice stay , and the owner Eveline was nice and helpful.

It is located inside a neighborhood so you had to walk quite a bit to get anything. So you better have a car or a taxi , but i think this applies to most of mauritius.

The house is well equipped, facilities are good, the kitchen, living room and bathroom on ground floor makes things accessible and easy. The location is safe too. Outside: the terrace and pool are very relaxing. The host is very welcoming and available. Eveline is always very kind and willing to help.
