Great location and a nice hotel with attractive public areas but in need of some TLC.

This is basically a nice hotel in an excellent location. The foyer is spacious and light, with comfortable seating and a pleasant bar area adjacent - we had hot drinks there when we came in cold from an outing. The selection of items available to buy from reception is a nice touch. Staff were welcoming and efficient. The breakfast area is pleasant and clean, we had breakfast one morning and there was a good selection of hot and cold food. Lifts were quick and never too crowded, and the corridors are brightly lit and well carpeted so not noisy. The location is ideal for visiting Liverpool, adjacent to the arena and Albert Dock with a short walk into Liverpool One and the city. Parking is available at a discounted rate at the nearby Kings Dock car park if you get your ticket stamped at reception before paying.

The room itself was disappointing - it was quite well appointed with a large tea/ coffee tray, space for clothes and belongings, a hairdryer, an armchair and a large bathroom. However, it did feel generally grubby and in need of a thorough clean and update - for example, a lot of dust and bits of rubbish at the edges of the chair, tea/ coffee tray less than spotless and the carpet rather unappealing. The sheets and towels were clean. The bathroom was large and cold and in need of some tlc, but it was clean. The room was not made up until late afternoon, and on one occasion when we got back at 6pm we did have to ask for it to be done three times - we felt housekeeping might be short-staffed over the Christmas period but everyone was unfailingly polite and helpful nonetheless.

Lovely hotel in a great location

Staff were really helpful and friendly (especially Niamh). Room (suite) was amazing; spacious and really comfortable. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, lots of choices and everything was freshly made. Hotel was in a great location.

No faults at all for me.

Ive stayed at other Leonardo hotels and you could definitely chromecast your phone to the TV, you couldnt do that here. The walls are thin. Ive never been able to hear other people next to us in a hotel before, but I heard everything! Missing a mini fridge Could do with a bit of an update
