Very unpleasant experience

Beautiful garden, good breakfast. We stayed at room 26 and it has amazing view

All good memories were ruined because of regrettable incidents. We forgot a wallet in the room and went out for lunch, when we came back the cash we had was stolen. Besides that weve come across a few other frustrating things: in our laundry bag weve got someone elses clothes mixed with our stuff, and a t-shirt was missing. Also water pressure in room was very low and was no still water to drink the next day after arrival. The swimming pool was extremely cold. The whole space needs some maintenance and better management.

Lovely location, accommodation rustic at best!

The property was in a beautiful location, the gardens and infrastructure were good.

Our bottom floor one bedroom unit has beautiful views but had rising damp, mould in bathroom, a cracked bathroom window, broken bedroom mirror, poor paint job and porch door off its hinge. It was rustic at best but not at the level you would want for cost. When raised with management no contact was made back with us. It should be noted the hotel was recovering from floods in 2023 which meant that also security electric fencing for the property was not yet repaired. Menu was limited.

Overall the stay was unpleasant and was not good value for the prices that they charge.

We booked 2 villas. A classic & a Deluxe. The only thing that we liked in our overall stay were the comfortable beds. Everything else was just disappointing.

The Spa forgot to reserve our booking for 8 people on New Years Eve although a staff member by the name of Nonhlahla from Camelot Spa confirmed the booking 3 days prior by whatsapp and via telephone. The Camelot Spa manager was not apologetic but rather unprofessional and rude when we arrived for our treatments. Her name was Taniell. So in short we never received any treatments! The hotel main restaurant that we booked on New Years eve was far from fine dining. There was a worm in the plate of one of our family members. This ruined the night! Food had to be sent back twice as well for extra salt. An extremely bad dining experience.

Good sleep, but disappointed by the way the guests have been treated.

Very nice

The manager at the restaurant who did not show some flexibility for serving the breakfast to a family that needed to leave /check out early for a king international trip. For the price paid, it was not a good service at all.

Stunning, memorable, clean and perfectly situated!

Super clean, staff were elegant and professional at all times and helped whenever needed. The location was perfect! Beautiful mountain ranges and Franschhoek city.

The food is so bad. The terrace menu was awful. Our steak was a dried piece of meat. The toasted sandwich is so thick and dry my granddaughters couldnt even bite it. Breakfast the eggs and bacon was cold. Staff amazing but good shocking,

nice location. sauvage restaurant very nice.

room key kept not working. Staff dont do what they say they will - I.ewill bring towels to you at the pool - one hour later still waiting. Pool was dirty. Jacuzzi cold. coffee machine in room didnt work - reported it, staff said they would sort it and they didnt. poor water pressure in room.

A favourite place for us to stay but overall the units keep disappinting us as it is not up to standard

The property is always a winner with kids. Best breakfasts always.

Despite calling and ask that housekeeping check the unit is perfect. It was not. Hair in the shower and basin. Not enough cutlery, tv not working in the rooms and guest toilet doorknop broken. Not enough towels for everyone. Jacuzzi by the pool in disgusting condition. Was smelling like urine all the time. Never seen a waiter around the pool. Battled to find swimming towels.
