Beautiful and small resort for chilling out by quiet beach.

Lovely bungalow in quiet resort. Very clean and nicely presented. Short stroll to quiet beach. If you want more options for eating/drinking then Varkala Cliff is a 30 min walk or short tuk tuk ride away. Very easy.

Theres nothing really. It was super peaceful and quiet so people wanting more to do on their doorstep might prefer somewhere closer to Varkala itself. I think this place offers best of both worlds.

Extraordinary stay in Kerala cottage. Best location, comfy and beautiful cottage in front of a quiet beach where fishermen come early in the morning. Good breakfast and excellent diner in the restaurant next door.

Relax in paradise!! This place is AMAZING!!!

Kerala Cottages are AMAZING! The location, facilities, hospitality are all beautiful. it is true that it takes a bit of effort to reach the property, about an hours' tuk-tuk/taxi ride from TRV airport - but it's definitely worth the effort! It's in a quiet area, away from the hustle of the 'Cliff Walk', which is about 10 minutes away in a tuk-tuk. The cottages are spacious and SO comfy, clean and beautifully constructed, with a fine attention to comfortable details. The bathroom is huge, with very nice fixtures and great water pressure. The bed is super comfy, nice linens, and you have a nice seating area inside as well as on your private front porch, where you can watch the ocean and sunset! The grounds are well-kept and lush, and the ocean is literally a stones-throw away, with a cute smaller beach directly in front, that feels very private. The breakfast is to order, and really delicious. The restaurant serves regular meals that are also very nice! But the absolute best part is the staff and workers there. A young man named Nevin mans the front desk and tends to everyone staying there in the most personal and professional manner. He seems to always be available, and eager to help, or share information...always aware, but never intrusive in the least! For a truly relaxing and rejuvenating experience, Kerala Cottages is the BEST! I was SO sad to leave, and hope to visit again soon! A+++ experience!!

Great experience for relaxing vacation

One of the best experiences I had in a while on a trip. Place is located right next to Odayem beach and has private access to beach. Cottages are super awesome and clean. Nevin, who is the manager and Thayoob, who is the owner, are super friendly and amazing people. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone planning to visit Varkala. This place really stands its star rating on reviews

Enjoyed my stay here. The manager Nevin was very helpful and responsive. Good breakfast, lovely location, and a great owner too. Mr Thayoob went out of his way to drop a friend and me to Trivandrum after a scheduled taxi broke down. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Varkela and would love to come here again

Perfect accommodation, price/value ratio is excellent.

For us Kerala Cottage was the best accommodation during our stay in Kerala. Location: Most of the hotels in Varkala are located on top of the cliffs and you would have to take steep stairs to access the beach. However, Kerala cottages are located next to the cliff making it one of the few places with direct acces to the beach. The area is super quiet and peaceful, you can enjoy the sunsets directly in front of your cottage. The cottages all have ocean view as they are located next to each other in a row. The cottage itself: super clean and cute, has everything you need. Breakfast: amazing! Served on a little terrace with ocean view. You have a mix of traditional Kerala breakfast and western dishes. Staff and service: the whole team is just super friendly and helpful. They helped us organizing a train/ and or taxi to our next destination and there is a laundry service if you request it. The atmosphere at Kerala cottages is really great.
