Ok for one night, but...

Easy check in, good kitchen facilities, cleaniness.

WiFi didn't work, the beds are very uncomfortable and too low - claustrophobic, be careful not to hit your head when you get up! Too small room for the number of people.

The staff was lovely and the bed was very very comfortable. Also,the showers are individually separated,in many hostels that i have stayed before they are like "gyms" showers,but they are actually separated in individual rooms and that for me is a plus. Also has a laundry and the common areas are very cozy. Would absolutely recommend.

What stood out the most was the location, perfectly situated for exploring the city. Nestled in a vibrant neighborhood, it was conveniently close to many of Edinburgh's must-see attractions, allowing me to immerse myself fully in the city's rich history and culture. The hostel's ambiance was welcoming and comfortable, ideal for travelers looking for a budget-friendly option without sacrificing quality. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, providing a cozy retreat after a day of exploration. It's a perfect choice for those who plan to spend most of their time out and about in the city, needing a comfortable place to sleep and recharge. One of the highlights of my stay was the incredibly helpful staff. Although I can't recall the name of the lady at the front desk, her assistance and warmth left a lasting impression. She was always ready with helpful tips and recommendations, making my stay much smoother and enjoyable. Her knowledge of Edinburgh was impressive, and her guidance helped me discover some hidden gems in the city. Another notable aspect was the free parking provided by the hostel. In a city where parking can be a challenge, this was a much-appreciated convenience that added value to my stay. It allowed me to explore areas outside of Edinburgh without worrying about the added expense and hassle of parking. James, another member of the staff, was equally informative. His insights about local eateries, events, and historical sites enriched my experience. He had a knack for understanding what I was interested in and tailored his suggestions accordingly, which made my trip more personalized and enjoyable. In summary, the hostel in Edinburgh offered a remarkable balance of affordability, convenience, and friendly service.

Pretty good

The room is very clean and well-kept. Beds were comfy. Since it is out of city center and doesn't have much shared spaces inside it is nice and quiet to fall asleep, if that is what you want.

The towels seemed a bit overused with some permanent stains, since they are white towels. The lockers are a bit tiny and it would be better if the lockers were inside the rooms, instead of the small sofa maybe, because this way you have to take your backpack out, bring it to your room to change or take something, and later put it back out, and it is a bit of a hassle, especially since it isn't easy to fit them inside if you have a bigger backpack. The location is not too bad if you plan on hopping on public transport anyway, for your sightseeing. We would just get a day ticket for the buses. Also, the middle bed is a bit tricky to get into, but hey, what can you do about that..
