Superb

The rooms were very large with comfortable beds and bedding, the bathroom was large and very nice. We had a really great deck with rocking chairs.

We visited at the end of the season so the only restaurant option was in the hotel lobby.

A relaxing and peaceful experience. Loved the elegant accommodations and the serenity.

The facility was just beautiful. I felt like I was in a Hallmark movie! It was secluded and peaceful and elegant. I felt very comfortable there. I loved that we had to take the ferry to get there. A very unique experience for us.

The time we were there was considered off season, so I dont think we received the full experience. There were so few staff members that we often didnt get questions answered right away. The person serving the meals tried to help us, but didnt know the answers. Its a small thing, but they did not have any diet soda options and we made it clear we would like Diet Coke and we were staying more than one night. If they had followed up and had diet soda the next day, that would have hit it out of the ballpark for us. Its the little things that make the difference. I enjoyed our time there immensely and would recommend it without hesitation maybe just bring your drink of choice, just in case.

would of stayed at another Island that had more to do.

Good. Main Dining room and closed Monday-Wednesday , did not tell us ahead of time. What they had to offer was limited. Had to pay for water taxi because ferry times were limited

Fireplace didn't work, they couldn't fix. Paid for that kind of room. Asked for foam pillows , didn't get, allergic to feathers

Absolutely beautiful, definitely planning another trip back

Beautiful , unique location, comfortable well appointed and clean rooms. The beds were super comfortable. Having the little kitchenette was great. Staff was attentive and kind, super helpful and friendly. Maria was wonderful! Tons of fun things to do indoors and out.

Not necessarily about the property but I do wish that there was a note somewhere to bring at least some of your own groceries as dining options on the island are quite limited. The pool / hot tub did stain our swimsuits and finger nails blue.

Ok place, but not taking the rest of the family for that experience.

The quiet and peaceful environment

Several things listed online were not available. The pool and spa pumps were not working properly. The food at diamonds edge was pitiful at best, my wife didnt even get to eat. Her steak came out wrong twice. The bathroom at the pool had no door knob. The alacarte breakfast menu was not available. The coffee was cold. The staff at diamonds edge were rude as well when we spoke about the experience. That place is honestly a joke and the chef has to be the worst Ive ever experienced.

Luxurious island stay in Portland maine

Island fall retreat. No cars Ferry. Ride 30 min out of Portland. Stunnning views all around Beautiful island with roads to walk, five small public beaches The inn is within historic Fort McKinnley. Very well done updates.

Most everything closed. Sept 26, for winter season. (I should have double checked) Cafe/restraunt in hotel was excellent but menu selection is limited. So if staying for a week, you will want To hop back over to portland proper to have some meals. Portland is a. Huge foodie scene, so great selections. Ferry is inexpensive and lovely. I did also take the waterferry back to main land as I had to get back in town on the weekend.off ferry hours Fogg Taxi was 65 dollars one way, but it was lovely meeting the driver and being closer to the.water and see the seals and wildlife.

loved it and will be back

The location - arriving by boat and leaving by boat is such a magical way to start a vacation the pool - kids loved it. we got lucky and got amazing weather

there are only three options for food on the island. one of the restaurants is closed Monday/Tuesday. So, the hotel menu - while good - gets a bit boring after a few nights. my advice is that if you stay more than a few nights, book a room with a kitchen and bring some food with you.
