The Hotel Ambassador by ACE Hotels has excellent rooms with great mountain views. The staff is helpful and the food is excellent. The location is convenient, with easy access to the city center and n (Read More)earby restaurants. The rooms are extremely clean and modern, and the staff is professional and helpful. The included buffet breakfast is a fantastic start to the day. Guests also recommend checking out the rooftop bar for its great vibe, food, drinks, and amazing views of the city. Overall, guests had an excellent and pleasant stay at the hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay. The room we requested was great, and the restaurant at night in the 9th floor was awesome!!

I really like the location of the hotel. Also how the rooms are laid out. Everything was so convenient. Also how there are two restaurants one area for breakfast and another for dinner. Just tremendous.

There is nothing we did not like. We have stayed in many hotels that cost more and none of them were as nice in my opinion as this.

Good Location... Must Stay !!!!!

All was good. Staff really helpful - from the manager to the driver. Excellent view of the room.

Overhead shower was not working. They offered the staff visit the next day but was ok as was time to go !!!

Long weekend in Kathmandu in a lovely hotel looked after by lovely staff.

The staff were excellent - friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. They are definitely the Ambassador Hotel's greatest asset. The hotel itself, while only a 3*, is in excellent condition and kept spotless. We stayed in a standard room, which was clean, in good order and more than adequate for a long weekend stay. The Japanese restaurant on the 1st floor was excellent, as was the bar/restaurant on the 9th floor. Breakfast in the Diplomat restaurant on the 1st floor was OK too, with a reasonable choice of food. There are also two coffee shops, one inside and the other outside the hotel, which serve a small selection of food and the outside one also sells bread. Coffee was excellent in the inside coffee shop but not so good in the outside one, though the food we had was good.

The free Wi-Fi didn't work in the room and was generally poor throughout the rest of the hotel. The rooms are advertised as soundproof and while the walls and windows are, the door isn't and noise from the corridor can be heard clearly. Fortunately, that wasn't really a problem during our stay but could be if there are noisy neighbours! The TV was of a good quality but seemed to have a fixed volume and, though there were plenty of channels, the programme choices were limited and had no option to pay for other channels. There was only one chair in the room, which isn't enough for two people!
