The hotel provided a pleasant experience with f (Read More)riendly staff and free laundry facilities. However, food prices were high. Despite being near the runway, the rooms were quiet. Overall, a convenient and comfortable option for early morning flights from Birmingham Airport.

Our bed had the most uncomofrtable matress i have ever slept on. I don't know why or how, but I'd literally prefer to sleep on the floor for the second night if I had to stay for one more night. It's hard, it's bouncy and my whole body ached in the morning.

Perfect place to overnight stay for the airport. Highly recommended.
Well equipped room and very clean. The staff were all courteous and helpful. Pleasant bar and bistro.

Had to pay double, strange lighting in the room, very wet floored bathroom.
Not much. Although this may be a one off. The rooms were big. The hotel is a short walk from the airport. The bar staff were pleasant (airport prices though).
Our experience at the hotel was perhaps unique but was awful. Arrived latish with 80 year old mum on NYE having booked and paid for 2 rooms in advance. Told by very rude receptionist that we had only paid for one room and would need to pay for another. After much heated debated we were told that we needed to pay for another room and take it up with booking.com. We paid. Were given no receipt and told to get the receipt the next day when we asked for it. This apparently is hilton policy. We were given invoices not receipts the next day. The rooms we were given were strange. My mum freaked out when she was sat on her bed and all the lights went out. Apparently they had motion sensors. The reading lights were somehow connected to the overhead lights so you could have all the lights on or none at all. There was a lamp in the corner but to turn it off you would have to navigate back to your bed in pitch blackness. We called the staff to the room who said this was normal and all the rooms were the same (doubtful). she suggested we moved the big lamp closer to the bed. The shower in the bathroom was in the corner of the room with only a short shower curtain seperating it from the rest of the room. so the whole room got soaked and wet socks when going to the loo later. Although she was terrible and rude I did feel slightly sorry for the receptionist but only for the fact that she was still on the front desk at 8 am and again at midday when we checked out. Ease of booking, proximity to car park and airport terminal, pleasant modern building, friendly and helpful staff member, room clean and comfortable with satisfactory facilities, good value for money

Failure to provide an early morning call ruined what was a good stay
Excellent location for airport. Restaurant was good and rooms were comfortable
The whole point of staying the night at the airport was to ensure that we did not have too early a start to catch our flight. The hotel failed to give us the early morning call for 0545 as the receptionist failed to notice that it was booked. Luckily we had awoken at that time. However, I would suggest that the majority of people staying at the hotel were catching a flight and many of these flight check ins were early. The early morning call is an essential element of the service that should be provided. It was only by luck that we did not miss our flight. Consequently I have downgraded my choices to reflect this.

I arrived by plane. It was easy to find hotel, the good food show and get the train into Birmingham
Breakfast was good. I liked that evening meals were avaiable.

Absolutely pristine! From the reception, the lift, the walkways and not to forget the room! All in perfect condition and upto date fixture and fittings. Bathroom with white fluffy towels, flannels and the toiletries are such good quality. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and even body lotion!! Positioned on the wall so you can use as much or as little needed. Well done Hilton a place of pure comfort!
