Squeeky clean homestay with all hotel like facilities

Stayed 3 nights in this comfortable homestay with squeeky clean floors, it had multiple rugs inside the room and bathroom to keep the floor dry, a big balcony to sitout and soak in the greenery around. It is also very close to the Ella Main road so you can walk down to the happening area and still far enough to offer you a peaceful comfortable night sleep. Obey the owner also runs a laundry which explains the cleanliness of the linen. The breakfast spread was excellent on all days. The staff including Sankar, Obey and his wife are all really helpful.

The host was an absolute delight and incredibly helpful from start to finish. He was incredibly knowledgeable and was more than willing to assist with absolutely everything. All of his recommendations for activities, transport options and places to eat were perfect. The rooms were a great size, very clean and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was plentiful and more importantly absolutely delicious. If my family and I are ever back in Ella we will 100% be staying at Moon Rock.

Absolutely everything: Obbey is the perfect host. We had the Sri Lanka breakfast every day and it was a feast! Nothing is too much trouble..he organised a car to drive us to our next location, a surprise birthday cake for me and a present, WOW. We will return next year, can't wait. And also, the laundry is five stars

Just 5 stars all around for everything!

I had 4 nights at Ella Moon Rock as I traveled to Ella. There could not have been a better place to stay. Obey, the owner, and his family & team gave me a really warm welcome. The room was absolutely comfortable, clean and tidy, including a well-working shower. Room cleaning is available at every day you need it. Also the breakfast is really amazing, Obey gave every day another delicious and diverse options, so you must not eat the same breakfast every day. I loved the Sri Lankan coconut pancakes with fresh fruits and the Sri Lankan Hoppers. Obey also gave the best recommendations for yoga classes in Ella and he helped me out with a good taxi service to the Sri Lankan south coast; he even gave me a few snacks for the long car journey and asked me afterwards whether I arrived safely, just lovely. Ella Moon Rock also offers a laundry service. If I travel to Ella again, I will stay at Ella Moon Rock again. 100 % recommended!
