Good

A lovely spot, but not for the light sleepers of the world!

It was a lovely place to be during the day, and the food was fantastic. We also enjoyed exploring the local area on the free bicycles.

We unfortunately got very little sleep due to the wedding across the river and the late night rave music from the hostel next door. Not the fault of Eden in any way, and we did very much enjoy the peaceful daytimes and the amazing food.

Amazing location, lovely bungalows on the river, close to the wildlife.

Wonderful place, bungalows are on the river allowing you to be close to nature. Very clean water with lots of fish. Free kayak rentals. You can rest and relax in the best way in that place. The food was great, local cuisine and vegetarian options available. Friendly staff.

The staff doesn't speak English, but you can use a Google translator to communicate.

The Bungalows and the leisure are were great! Staff is lovely

Maybe a little lack of intimacy in my bathroom... the people in the tree house behind could see me take a shower... I still loved the outside bathroom though.

Noisy & Run-Down - NOT a "return to paradise"

So many issues. And we love roughing it, but NOT when we specifically booked a place for a beautiful getaway in a relaxing nature-space. - the staff selectively speaks English. For some guests they were perfectly fine communicating while with others we noticed they immediately "didn't speak English" - there's a page inside the room attempting to justify the garbage and noise, while simultaneously critisizing their neighbours for trash and noise. - this is SUCH A NOISY SPOT! Boats from 4am to 5am right outside your hut, then from 5am the mosque starts. At night, music blares from across the river and from next door. And again, the letter you get tries to justify the noise but honestly, it's just not relaxing in ANY WAY. Staff is also noisy in the morning and evening. - our hut was not up to standard. The hammock was broken and we had to fix it, the outside door didn't want to close and staff told us to just leave it open, there was no second seat and small table (so one person had to sit on the wooden floor the whole time), and the mattress was too big for the bed base which caused it to keep sliding off during the night - the "private bathroom" is BS. You have a private shower but you need to pee in a literal plant pot. For men it's fine but for women it's a painful experience trying to sit there. And then, to go poo, you need to use a different communal eco bathroom, so YOU DONT HAVE A PRIVATE TOILET - also, they don't have laundry or parking as they advertise. You have to go next door and they will not help you at all.

We had great stay. Kampot a great town to hire a scooter to drive around and chill by the river.

Really nice rooms, great river for swimming and yum food. The staff are lovely so are the cats.

If you like quiet the place across the river and the hostel can be loud, but we just joined in at the hostel so no problems

I stayed in a river view room. It was one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed. Everything about this place was exceptional to me. The view from my room was breathtaking. The food was delicious and of a high standard. The staff were kind and helpful. Id definitely recommend staying here. Like me I expect that you wont want to leave.

Aptly named - it really is Eden

just thinking about our stay there makes me smile - it was perfect. staff was very kind, food delicious and the surroundings really allowed us to relax and enjoy our time together in a simpler and more sustainable way, far from the haze and daze of city life.
