Good but could have been great or excellent.

Was a good atmosphere, and friendly staff.

Everything was not working! Always had something going wrong. Maintenance fixing everything while we were there no pool toilets out water out.

NOT recommended for non-smokers

Lane Cove Park nearby and lots of animals running around the park: turkeys, lizards, possums.

NOT recommended for non-smokers as park management prefers to silently allow smoking despite officially it is not allowed. There are ashtrays around the place and no any signs in the cabins and camp sites that smoking is not allowed. So first impression when you get inside of your cabin is that it is absolutely fine to smoke, because you see an ashtray welcoming you from the outdoor table and no any sign that smoking is actually not allowed. Our cabin was above the camp ground and near the path to the public facilities, there were many people smoking on their way and also people smoking on the camp ground all the time. We complained to the staff several times, but nothing was done, I doubt they even spoke to those people as it appears they silently acknowledge and allow smoking in this park, which is very sad as we really liked the park itself, but will not be coming back due to smoking issues. Other issues we encountered: the cabin was not ready even though we arrived 40 mins past check-in time, the cabin had only one bed made, although there were supposed to be at least 3 beds done, Wi-Fi never worked, we finally gave up and used our mobile hotspots during all our stay, 2 out of 3 single bed blankets were smelly - need to be washed more often.

This park is an oasis, only a few minutes to the freeway to Sydney city or 20 mins walk to the metro

The park is an oasis in busy Sydney, with lots of native birds and trees. There are wonderful walks within the national park from the Discovery Park. The park is well run.
