What a place! Amazing hosts.

The hosts were so friendly, had a chat with us for about 10 mins once we arrived.. Brought us a drink once we checked in which was lovely. Great room with outside seating overlooking their garden. Kitchen to use for free. They also had a menu at good prices. The location was amazing - at the start of the main tourist street towards the beach. There was also 2 hammocks in the garden which was funky.

The hotel is conveniently located: at the beginning of the tourist street, 5 minutes to the beach, near many souvenir shops, cafes and bus stop. The hotel itself is small but cosy - only 4 rooms in the main building and 3 rooms in a small garden. There is also a shared kitchen in the garden with everything you need to cook your own meals. There are lovely breakfasts for an extra charge. We would especially like to thank the kind and helpful hosts Manika and Polite, who are ready to do everything possible for a perfect holiday.

Great location and a lovely family

The family were lovely, and the location is fantastic. Close to all the restaurants and beach.

The room had very little lighting, even with lights on. Lots of mosquitoes unfortunately due to the weather!

Very good location. Our rooms were hidden away just behind the hustle and bustle facing the garden. Very kind and passionate hosts. Despite the tourism all locals were lovely. Well equipped rooms. Beds, bathrooms and food were wonderful. Our stay was great would come back again.

Superb

Our private ensuite was huge and super comfortable, with a large balcony overlooking the beautiful garden. The AC was a bit tricky to use but helped keep us cool in the Unawatuna heat.

Our WhatsApp interactions with the host were a bit frosty at times which was a shame and unlike anywhere else we stayed in Sri Lanka. It felt a bit like we were being a nuisance simply by ordering breakfast for example. However all our in person interactions with the hosts were warm and friendly so it may just have been a language barrier issue.

We really liked the garden, the family, the clean and cosy bed, the hot shower and the beautiful breakfast and Sri Lankan meals that we enjoyed at Dandelion.
