Beautiful historic room with thoughtful and kind hosts.

Staying in a world heritage site - Amsterdams canal area - was a real treat. We could walk through fascinating neighbourhoods to nearly all the museums and restaurants we wanted to visit. We also thought the hosts were exceptionally kind, which counts for a lot when travelling in the winter months.

Being there for a week over the December festive season is not particularly peaceful and quiet, and the canal road directly in front of the place meant more people and cars than expected. Suggest having earplugs or headphones on hand if youre not accustomed to this.

An excellent apartment in the heart of Amsterdam.

The property is very well located, super comfortable and homely. The host was so friendly, accommodating and helpful. Nothing was a bother. We loved everything about this place.

Highly recommend!

Beautiful room with amazing, modern bathroom. Loved the view onto the canal and the big windows. Fantastic location - could easily walk everywhere. Owners organised a lovely birthday cake for us which was much appreciated and made arriving very special.

As it is a historic building I think the windows must be single glazed so some noise from the street at night.

Wonderful place to stay

The Rembrandt Room is beautiful. The bathroom is extravagant. Great location. Was sitting by window around 2am and saw lots of lone individuals and couples walking or riding by. That made me think it was very safe area since females were comfortable walking alone at that hour. Communication with hosts was great and Joost helped us with the luggage and told us where to park the car. Very friendly and inviting. I highly recommend it and would absolutely stay there again.

Excellent host, location and beautiful room on the canal in Amsterdam.

Great location and easy walking distance to several sights and restaurants. Host has nice guidebook with some of their favorite places and checked in with us on more than one occasion to make sure we had everything we needed. We went the JUMBO a few times and they had a nice selection of groceries. We also tried the recommended street fries at HEERTJE FRIET (Delicious!) and grabbed takeout from Thaise Snackbar Bird (Chicken Basil Fried Rice was as good a Thailand, but the Massaman Chicken Curry was average (has a sweet flavor) and they do not serve Thai Iced tea) Bed was very comfortable, and the room was just beautiful. The cleaning person put fresh & lovely bouquets of flowers in a vase for our stay and refreshed with new flowers partway through our stay. Bathroom was large and clean. Shower pressure was great. I do wish that there was a curtain or something for a little more privacy. (There is no door, but we worked it out) There was also a thoughtful welcome gift. The semi-spiral stairs to the room could be challenging for some and I would not recommend roller bag luggage (however, we had a large roller bag and managed OK) We were very close to transportation and the transportation system was very easy to follow using the app. We used the train just about every day during our stay and had no issues.

Perfect stay. Brilliant location, spotlessly clean room/facilities. Comfortable bed. Hosts were more than helpful and even left us some lovely complimentary treats in the fridge for us for a special occasion which was very thoughtful. We were able to check in and out with ease. Very easy to get in touch with Joost/Chet whenever we needed. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay here again :)

Great place to stay

The Location could not have been better. Canal just outside the door and coffee shops, restaurants, bars within minutes from the location. Easy walking to all areas. Neighborhood is safe and not noisy. The hosts Chet and Joost could not have been any nicer and all requests were answered promptly. Their recommendations of restaurants and cafes were spot on.
