How To Reach Bolivia

Getting to Bolivia shouldn't be a problem as many modes of transport are available. However, some roads may be uneven due to its geography.

The International Airports are at La Paz and Santa Cruz. You need to fly to Lima, Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, or Buenos Aires from where you can take connecting flights to Bolivia. Flights ply from Miami to La Paz and Santa Cruz on a daily basis.

Reaching Bolivia by Bus

There are many options for travelling from Argentina to Bolivia by bus. There is also a bus that runs from Juliaca and Puno in Peru to Copacabana, and from there you can go to Bolivia.

Reaching Bolivia by Rail

Some trains run to Bolivian cities from Chile and Argentina. Its tough to find a direct rail service to Bolivia. Anther option would be travel to Peru or northern Chile and then fly into Bolivia.

There are three routes from the Argentine province of Salta via Bermejo or Yacuiba to Tarija or Santa Cruz in Bolivia.An International Driving Permit (IDP) is required, but EU or US driving licences will be accepted.
