Disappointing Experience with Uttra Holidays – Char Dham Yatra Package
I booked a 9-night, 10-day Char Dham Yatra package through Uttra Holidays, expecting a comfortable, well-organised, and hassle-free pilgrimage experience. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing due to the following issues:
1. Hotel Rooms and Facilities Below Deluxe Standards
The rooms and facilities provided did (Read More)not meet the expectations of a deluxe package. The accommodation quality was below the standard I had anticipated when booking the package.
2. Unprofessional Behaviour of Hotel Staff and Cab Driver
The behaviour of some hotel staff and the cab driver was unprofessional. At multiple hotels, the staff and cab driver asked me to pay the amount directly to them instead of coordinating the payments through Uttra Holidays, as expected under the package arrangement. This created unnecessary confusion and inconvenience during the trip.
3. Pressure to Make Full Payment at the Beginning of the Trip
Despite the package being for 9 nights and 10 days, the travel agent pressured me to make the full payment on the first or second day itself, even though most of the journey and hotel stays were still pending. This was not a satisfactory experience from a customer's point of view.
Overall, the services provided did not meet my expectations. A pilgrimage like Char Dham Yatra should be a peaceful and memorable experience, but poor accommodation standards, unprofessional coordination, and pressure regarding payment made it stressful.
I hope Uttra Holidays takes this feedback seriously and improves its hotel selection, staff coordination, payment management, and customer service.
I would advise future travellers to clearly confirm the hotel standards, package inclusions, payment terms, and payment coordination process in writing before booking.

Payment Terms & Flexibility: As (Read More)per our standard booking terms, the full package amount (totaling ₹55,000) is due upon arrival on Day 1 to ensure smooth coordination with hotel and transport vendors. However, to accommodate you, we allowed flexible installments throughout the journey—stretching from Uttarkashi on Day 5, to Day 7, and completing the final settlement only on the last evening of your 10-day tour. Our reminders were purely standard operational protocols, not intended to cause stress.
Hotels & Vendor Management: We carefully select Deluxe category accommodations along the Char Dham route based on availability in these high-altitude regions. Regarding the payment confusion with the driver and hotel staff, we are actively auditing this with our ground partners to ensure complete transparency in future operations.
We appreciate your feedback as it helps us strengthen our vendor management and service coordination. We wish you and your family spiritual peace and safe travels in the future.

Everything was planned and managed perfectly. The hotel stays in Sirsi and Auli had wonderful mountain views, and the rooms were clean and cozy. Overall, highly recommended for budget-friendly and comfortable tours with Uttra Holidays.
The car driver drove the car very fast even after being told to reduce the speed. But once I complained to the manager, he started driving normally.
