Both Mr. Anand, the owner of Jeremy Travels, and Mr. Samir, our cab driver, were extremely kind, professional, and supportive throughout our trip to Sikkim. Jeremy Travels organized our 4N/5D trip very well overall, and I would especially like to appreciate Anand for his excellent support throughout the journey. From the very beginning, he patiently prepared the itinerary, made adjustments according to our requirements, and stayed in touch every day through calls or messages to check on our experience and whether we faced any issues. I was truly impre (Read More)ssed by the level of care and support he provided from start to finish. A special mention for our driver, Prayas bhai, for the Zuluk and Gangtok portion of the trip. He was excellent — very smooth and safe driving even on difficult off-road stretches, especially since many roads on the Silk Route were in poor condition. He was also extremely polite, made sure we covered every viewpoint, and even helped us take amazing photographs by suggesting poses. Traveling with him was truly an awesome experience. Stays During Our 4N/5D Trip Zuluk – 1 Night (Zuluk Village Homestay) The homestay was good with beautiful mountain views all around. The only issue was that the carpet felt damp. However, the food was absolutely amazing — evening tea with onion pakoras and masala omelette was delightful, and dinner with hot rotis and chicken curry was delicious. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. Gangtok – 1 Night (Magpie Living Grand Hotel) A very nice 4-star property with spacious rooms. The best part is its location right on MG Marg. The rooms were cozy and beautiful, and the buffet breakfast was very good. Lachung – 2 Nights (Orsino Khangri Karpo Retreat & Spa) This is the main reason I am giving one star less. The hotel provided in Lachung was mentioned as a 4-star property, but it did not meet expectations. It seemed to have been recently taken over by Orsino, and management was not proper as almost all staff members were new to the hotel. The rooms had damp bedding, there were spider webs in the corners, and the washrooms had an unpleasant smell. We somehow managed for two nights, and the only positive point was the stunning valley view. Also, the driver allocated separately for our Lachung trip was aggressive while driving on curves and always seemed to be in a hurry, because of which we couldn’t even get proper time for pictures. Lastly, the driver Pawan, who was allocated for our return journey on the last day from Gangtok to NJP, was also very good. He ensured our comfort throughout the journey by asking if we needed to stop for washroom breaks or food. He was very polite and drove smoothly, making the return trip comfortable. Overall, despite the Lachung hotel experience, the trip was enjoyable and well managed thanks to Anand’s constant support and the excellent service of Prayas bhai and Pawan.
