Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival

Upon arrival at airport, a representative will meet and transport you to Negombo.
Leisure in hotel.
Dinner in hotel.

Day 2 Anuradhapura

After breakfast, proceed to Anuradhapura.
En-route, visit Yapahuwa, the ancient capital of Sri Lanka.
In the afternoon, check in to hotel in Anuradhapura.
Later, explore Anuradhapura.
Dinner at hotel.
Overnight stay at Anuradhapura.

Day 3 Sigiriya

After breakfast at hotel, proceed to Sigiriya.
En-route, visit the Mihintale Buddhist Monastery.
In the afternoon, enjoy a Traditional Village Tour in Habarana.
Activites include cooking program, Catamaran ride, bullock cart ride and such.
Thereafter, proceed to Sigiriya & spend the evening at leisure.
Dinner at hotel.

Day 4 Sigiriya Lion Rock fortress and Polonnaruwa

After an early breakfast at hotel, trek to Sigiriya Lion Rock fortress.
Return to hotel.
Later in the afternoon, proceed to Polonnaruwa.
Explore the secnond ancient capital and return in the evening.
Dinner in hotel at Sigiriya.

Day 5 Kandy

Breakfast at hotel.
Check-out and proceed to Kandy.
En- route visit the Golden & Rock Cave Temple in Dambulla.
If time permits, visit Herbal & Spice Garden in Matale and the Muththumari temple (both optional).
Reach Kandy in the afternoon and relax at hotel.
Dinner at hotel.

Day 6 Exploring Kandy

Breakfast at hotel.
Enjoy a city tour & sightseeing in Kandy.
Visit Temple of Tooth Relic, tour the Upper Lake View Point, Peradeniya Botanical Garden, Emebekke, Lanka Tilake, Gadala Deniya Temple and such.
Dinner at hotel.

Day 7 Adam's peak

After breakfast at hotel, proceed to Adam's Peak.
Rest at hotel before midnight trek.
Dinner at hotel.
At 00.30 AM, start trekking to Adam's peak.

Day 8 Nuwara eliya

Return back to hotel in time for breakfast.
Leave to Nuwara eliya.
En route visit St Clares & Devon Waterfalls.
Spend the evening at leisure.
Dinner at hotel.

Day 9 Horton Plain

Enjoy an early breakfast and proceed to Horton Plain National Park.
On the way back, visit Ambewela Farm.
In the evening, enjoy a city tour & sightseeing to Seetha temple and Gregory's lake.
Visit local tea factory & plantation.
Local activities include golfing and race course.
Dinner at hotel.

Day 10 Train to Ella

Breakfast in hotel.
Proceed to Nanuoya railway station for train tour from Nanuoya to Ella.
From Ella railway station, guide will transport to hotel.
Leisure in hotel and enjoy dinner.

Day 11 Little Adam's Peak

After breakfast at hotel, start trek to Little Adam's Peak.
Later, visit the Rawana Waterfall.
Spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Dinner at hotel.

Day 12 Yala

Breakfast at hotel.
Proceed to Yala.
In the afternoon, enjoy Jeep safari in Yala National Park.
Spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Dinner at hotel.

Day 13 Mirissa

Breakfast at hotel.
Proceed to Mirissa.
On the way, visit Dickwella Natural Blow Hole and Veurukannala temple.
Enjoy the rest of the day at Mirissa beach.
Dinner at hotel.

Day 14 Mirissa

Breakfast at hotel, followed by whale & dolphin watching in Mirissa.
Spend the day at leisure.
Dinner at hotel.

Day 15 Galle and Bentota

After breakfast, proceed to Galle.
Visit Dutch fort, Light house and Galle Fort.
Thereafter, proceed to Bentota.
Visit masking factory and Turtle Farm in Bentota.
Activites include boat safari, island visit, fish massage and water sports.
Thereafter, proceed to Colombo.
In the evening, go for a city tour.
Dinner at hotel.

Day 16 Departure

Check out after breakfast.
Transfer to the Airport for onward journey.

Communication, Planning of tour from the scratch, Transport and the Guide.

Accommodation in Nuwara Eliya. Room size was small in the Hotel. Can not be cons (Read More)idered as 4*. All though the Hotel Staffs were friendly. Its location also mattered. Anyway, we had to choose it among the available limited options.

It was a memorable trip to Sri Lanka and worth every minute spent there.
