After an early breakfast, drive to Dirang. On the way, visit Tipi Orchidarium situated on the banks of the river Bharali, a place with over 500 orchids, including some rare species. Arunachal has the largest range of orchids in the country, so take a break to visit Nag Temple. Continue your drive and keep your cameras handy as you cross beautiful waterfalls and enjoy spectacular views. Dirang is also famous for hot water springs where people take baths to cure skin ailments. Visit the Dirang Dzong and a Monpa village. Overnight stay at Dirang.

Early morning after breakfast, drive to Tawang. Enroute, witness the snow-capped Sella Pass at 14,000 ft and the Jaswant Garh War Memorial. (Legend has it that Jaswant, a Mahavir Chakra Awardee (Posthumous) of the 4th Battalion Garhwal Rifles, fought a lone battle against the invading Chinese during the 1962 war. His spirit is still believed to protect the place.) Before reaching Tawang, visit the Nuranang Falls. Overnight in Tawang.

Tawang - The beautiful land of the Monpa tribes with the 'Galden Namgyal Lhatse' Monastery - one of the largest Lamaseries of the Mahayana sect in Asia. Later visit Urgelling Gompa - the birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama. The monastery is 400 years old and is adorned with an 18-foot high statue of Lord Buddha. 'The Land of Dawn-lit Mountains' at 3500 mts gives you unparalleled purity of nature. Evening free for shopping. Overnight stay in Tawang.

After breakfast, take a day trip to Sangestar Tso, popularly known as Madhuri Lake (12,165 ft), which gained fame after being featured in the movie Koyla. Visit Bum La Pass (15,200 ft), often covered with heavy snow throughout the year. A special permit is required to visit Bum La Pass, which can be requested at the Office of the Deputy Commissioner in Tawang District. Without the army stamp, visitors are not allowed through the numerous check posts along the way. Overnight at Tawang.

Early morning after breakfast, transfer to Bomdila (8,200 ft), the headquarters of West Kameng District of Arunachal Pradesh, known for its Buddhist monasteries. It has many attractions for visitors due to its cool climate. On arrival, check in to the hotel. Later visit Gontse Rabgyaling Monastery (Upper Gonpa) and Thub-Chog Gatsel Ling Monastery (Lower Gonpa). Bomdila offers a wonderfully panoramic view of Himalayan landscapes and snow-clad ranges. In the evening, you can visit the local market. Overnight stay at Bomdila.

Early morning after breakfast, drive to Guwahati. Check in at the hotel. In the evening, enjoy a sunset river cruise over the Brahmaputra River if time permits. (Cruise is subject to weather conditions and availability; payment will be direct.)
