Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival – Kaziranga National Park
- Arrive at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station.
- Drive to Kaziranga National Park, home of the magnificent One-Horned Rhinoceros.
- En route, visit the serene Maha Mrityunjay Temple in Nagaon.
- Check in at your hotel and unwind for the evening amidst the wilderness.
Day 2 Explore Kaziranga National Park
- Start early with a majestic elephant safari, spotting rhinos, wild buffalo, swamp deer, and, if lucky, tigers!
- Bird lovers can admire pelicans, storks, and darters around the park's water bodies.
- After breakfast, enjoy an afternoon jeep safari through the park.
- Visit the Kaziranga Orchid Park before returning to your hotel.
Day 3 Kaziranga – Shillong
- After breakfast, drive to Shillong, the charming "Scotland of the East" (approx. 7 hours).
- En route, stop at Umiam Lake, a serene spot surrounded by lush hills.
- Check in at your hotel and spend a leisurely evening soaking in Shillong's laid-back vibe.
Day 4 Cherrapunjee Excursion
- Journey to Cherrapunjee, one of the wettest places on Earth.
- Marvel at the Nohkalikai Falls.
- Explore the mysterious Mawsmai Caves.
- On your return, stop by the stunning Elephanta Falls.
- Enjoy an evening at leisure in Shillong.
Day 5 Dawki & Mawlynnong – Nature & Culture
- Drive to Dawki, a quaint town near the India-Bangladesh border.
- Enjoy the crystal-clear Umngot River.
- Continue to Mawlynnong, known as Asia's Cleanest Village.
- Witness the iconic living root bridge and a naturally balanced boulder.
- Return to Shillong for an overnight stay.
Day 6 Shillong – Guwahati & Departure
- After breakfast, drive back to Guwahati.
- Visit the sacred Kamakhya Temple (timing permitting).
- Transfer to the airport or railway station for your onward journey.
