- Meet your driver and drive to Phuntsholing (155 km / 4 hours).
- Approximate arrival time in Phuntsholing: 12:30 PM - 1:00 PM.

- Drive from Phuntsholing to Thimphu, sightseeing along the way (145 KM / 4 hours).
- Kharbandi Goempa (The Misty Town): Located just 5 km from Phuntsholing town, this popular tourist spot offers visitors a great view of Jaigaon. Note: If time permits, this site will be visited on the first day.

- National Memorial Chorten: Built in 1974 in memory of Bhutan?s Third King, this peaceful Buddhist stupa is a gathering place for locals who come daily for prayers and spiritual practices. - Tashichho Dzong (Viewpoint): Enjoy a stunning panoramic view of the city with the majestic Tashichho Dzong as its centerpiece. Visitors can admire the dzong?s impressive traditional Bhutanese architecture, golden roofs, and surrounding pine forests, making it a perfect spot for photography and soaking in Thimphu?s serene landscape.
- Explore Thimphu Town, including the Clock Tower and Handicraft Market. If time permits, the following will also be included:
- Buddha Dordenma: A giant golden statue of Lord Buddha located on a hill overlooking Thimphu. Standing over 51 meters tall, it houses more than 100,000 smaller Buddha statues inside. Built to promote peace and prosperity, it is one of Bhutan?s most iconic landmarks and offers stunning views of the Thimphu valley.
- Simply Bhutan: A living museum in Thimphu that showcases Bhutan?s traditional lifestyle, culture, and heritage. Visitors can experience Bhutanese architecture, dress in traditional attire, taste local food, try archery, and enjoy cultural performances. It is an excellent place to learn about Bhutan?s history and experience authentic Bhutanese traditions in one location.

- Drive from Thimphu to Paro for sightseeing (55 KM / 1:15 Hrs)
- Chuzomsa: The bridge spans the meeting point of two rivers, Wang Chhu (flowing from Thimphu) and Paro Chhu, at their confluence. From the bridge, you can clearly see both rivers merging and flowing onward as a single waterway.
- Bird's Eye View: Offers a stunning panoramic perspective of the Paro Valley, showcasing lush green fields, winding rivers, traditional Bhutanese houses, and the majestic surrounding mountains. From this viewpoint, you can also spot iconic landmarks like Paro Dzong and the Tiger?s Nest Monastery perched on cliffs, providing a sense of the valley?s serene beauty and cultural charm from above.
- Drukgyel Dzong: A historic fortress built in 1649 to defend against Tibetan invasions. Though now in ruins, it sits majestically on a hillside, surrounded by pine forests and offering panoramic views of the Himalayas, including Mount Jomolhari. The dzong is also known for its cultural significance and annual festivals.
- Kychu Lhakhang: One of the oldest and most sacred temples, built in the 7th century by the Tibetan king Songtsen Gampo to subdue a local demon and promote Buddhism. The temple features beautiful ancient murals, a golden Buddha statue, and a peaceful courtyard, making it a significant site for prayer, pilgrimage, and cultural heritage in Bhutan.
- Dumtseg Lhakhang: A unique, chorten-shaped temple in Paro, Bhutan, built by Thangtong Gyalpo in the 15th century to subdue a demoness. It symbolizes hell, earth, and heaven across its three floors. It houses extraordinary murals depicting Buddhist philosophy, protector deities, and figures like Milarepa, requiring a torch and steep ladders to explore its sacred art.
- Ta-Dzong: Bhutan's National Museum is a unique circular watchtower built in 1649, housing an extensive collection of Bhutanese art, artifacts, thangkas, textiles, stamps, and natural history. It showcases the nation's history from ancient times to modern Buddhist culture, offering panoramic views.
- Paro Dzong: Also known as Rinpung Dzong, it is a magnificent fortress-monastery in Bhutan, a stunning example of Bhutanese architecture with towering walls, intricate woodwork, and murals. It serves as both a religious center and administrative hub for the Paro district, housing monks and government offices, and guarding the valley with its imposing presence, visible from the airport.
- Wooden Bridge: Also called Nyamai Zam, it is a picturesque, traditional cantilevered covered bridge crossing the Paro Chhu river, providing access to the fortress (Rinpung Dzong). Reconstructed after a flood in 1969, it is a key architectural feature built without nails in traditional Bhutanese style, offering stunning views.
