• Dress respectfully, particularly when visiting masjid, temples, shrines and other religious places.
• Ask permission before photographing local people, especially children, religious activities or private property.
• Follow instructions from local authorities, tourism officials and your tour coordinator, particularly if there are weather-related diversions or temporary restrictions.
• Keep Kashmir clean.
• Carry your waste back with you when visiting meadows, lakes, trekking routes and picnic areas.
• Carry essential medicines and basic first-aid supplies, particularly when travelling with children or elderly guests.
• Don’t litter in lakes, gardens, forests, meadows, mountains or tourist areas.
• Don’t enter restricted or security-sensitive areas or photograph military/security installations.
• Don’t wander onto unfamiliar trekking routes or isolated areas without a guide, particularly in high-altitude regions.
• Don’t ignore weather warnings or road-closure instructions.
• Don’t walk on frozen lakes, rivers or unsafe snow-covered surfaces unless the area has specifically been declared safe.
• Don’t disturb wildlife, damage flowers or vegetation, or remove plants and natural objects from protected environments.
• Don’t disrespect religious places or local customs. Follow footwear, photography and dress requirements displayed at the site.
• Don’t rely entirely on mobile connectivity when travelling to remote valleys and mountain areas.
• Don’t undertake high-altitude activities without proper preparation, particularly if you have health concerns.
• Don’t leave valuables unattended in vehicles or public places.
• Don’t make last-minute independent changes to routes in remote areas without informing your driver, guide or tour coordinator.
