Detailed Itinerary
- Meet and greet upon arrival at NJP Railway Station or IXB Airport.
- Transfer to Phuentsholing, the gateway to Bhutan by road from India.
- Phuentsholing is a thriving commercial center located on the northern edge of the Indian plains.
- Upon arrival, check in at the hotel.
- Overnight stay in Phuentsholing.
- Note: The driver and guide will meet today at around 8:30 AM at the Phuentsholing border for immigration. The process should take a maximum of 1 hour. They will remain there until the journey to Thimphu begins.
- After breakfast, proceed towards Thimphu. Halt at Chojum to take photographs of the confluence of two rivers in Bhutan, the Thumpu Chu and the Paro Chu. Reach Thimphu in the evening. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. In the evening, you are free for your own activities. Overnight stay in Thimphu.
- After breakfast, the day is dedicated to sightseeing in Thimphu.
- You will visit the following tourist sites in Thimphu:
- Kuenselphodrang
- National Memorial Chorten
- Folk Heritage Museum
- Sangaygang View Point
- Takin Reserve Centre
- Tashichho Dzong (Fortress of the Glorious Religion)

- Dinner and overnight stay at a Thimphu hotel.
- After breakfast, drive to Punakha/Wangdue via the scenic Dochula Pass.
- Upon arrival, check into your hotel and enjoy lunch.
- Visit the following attractions:
- Punakha Dzong
- Chimi Lhakhang
- Punakha Suspension Bridge
- Punakha Village
- Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Punakha.
- After breakfast, drive to Paro via Dochu La Pass, passing the Paro Chhu and Wang Chhu river valleys.
- Visit Simtokha Dzong en route.
- In Paro, check into your hotel and visit:
- Ta Dzong
- Rinpung Dzong
- Tamchog Lhakhang
- Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
- After an early morning breakfast, you will begin an excursion tour to Taktsang Monastery.
- Taktsang Palphug Monastery, also known as Tiger's Nest, is an amazing Buddhist monastery, temple, and sacred site located in upper Paro town.
- Built in 1692, it is believed that Padmasambhava meditated at this site for three years.
- Guru Padmasambhava is known to be the founder of Buddhism in Bhutan and is immensely respected, with a large number of sacred followers in the country.
- Kyichu Lhakhang is one of the oldest Buddhist temples in Bhutan (if not the oldest) and is considered a prime example of ornate Bhutanese architecture.
- Overnight stay in Paro.
- Chele-la is one of the least visited areas in the country, retaining the atmosphere of an unspoiled, primeval forest.
- Drive to Chele La Pass (3,988m), where on a clear day, the view extends to Bhutan's second-highest sacred peak, Mt. Jomolhari (7,314m).
- Upon arrival, check in at the hotel.
- Evening free for leisure.
- Overnight stay in Phuentsholing.
- After breakfast, check out from the hotel.
- Travel to the Phuntsholing border.
- Complete exit immigration.
