Day 1 Arrival At Bagdogra (IXB) Airport / NJP Railway Station – Transfer To Phuentsholing
  • Upon arrival at Bagdogra Airport (IXB) or NJP Railway Station, meet and greet our representative.
  • Our representative will assist you with your transfer to Phuentsholing.
  • Upon arrival in Phuentsholing, check in to your hotel.
  • Enjoy an overnight stay in Phuentsholing.
  • After breakfast, complete the visa and permit formalities with the assistance of our representative (if not completed on the day of arrival). Later, proceed with your scenic drive to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan.
  • Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and relax. Enjoy an overnight stay in Thimphu.
  • After breakfast, drive to Wangdue / Punakha via the picturesque Dochu La Pass, offering breathtaking views of the Himalayan ranges.
  • Upon arrival, visit Punakha Dzong, majestically situated at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers. Continue to Chimi Lhakhang, also known as the Temple of Fertility. Later, take a walk across the Punakha Suspension Bridge before returning to Thimphu. Overnight stay at Thimphu.
  • After breakfast, enjoy a half-day sightseeing tour of Thimphu, visiting:
  • Buddha Point (Kuensel Phodrang) – Offers panoramic views of the Thimphu Valley and houses the largest Buddha statue in Bhutan.
  • National Memorial Chorten – Built in 1974 in memory of His Late Majesty King Jigme Dorji Wangchuk, the Third King of Bhutan.

  • After sightseeing, drive to Paro. On arrival, check in to your hotel. Overnight stay at Paro.
  • After breakfast, proceed for a full-day excursion to Chele-La-Pass, one of the highest motorable passes in Bhutan (3,810 m). Enjoy the scenic drive through dense spruce and larch forests. On a clear day, you can view Mt. Jumolhari, Jichu Drake, and the valleys of Haa and Paro.
  • Alternatively, guests may opt for a hike to the world-famous Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang Monastery), perched on a cliffside offering magnificent views.
  • Return to Paro in the evening. Overnight stay at Paro.
  • After breakfast, proceed for a half-day sightseeing tour of Paro covering Paro Dzong, Kyichu Lhakhang, and the National Museum of Bhutan, showcasing the country’s rich heritage and spiritual essence.
  • Later, drive back to Phuentsholing. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and relax.Overnight stay at Phuentsholing.
  • After breakfast, transfer to IXB Airport (Bagdogra) for your onward journey.

From the very beginning, everything was well organized and smooth. The itinerary was thoughtfully planned, allowing enough time to explore while still feeling relaxed and enjoyable. Every destination in Bhutan felt special, and the arrangements throughout the journey were handled with great care. Mr. Bharat Gurung, the owner of Asia Valleys Tours and Travels, was very supportive and responsive. He stayed in touch during the planning stage, clarified all details properly, and made sure everything was aligned before the trip started. Even during the trip, he was reachable and checked in when needed, which made things feel more reliable. A big part of what made this trip so enjoyable was our guide, Sangay, and our driver, Dechen. Sangay was incredibly knowledgeable and shared deep insights about Bhutanese culture, history, and traditions in a way that was both engaging and easy to understand. He was always attentive, patient, and made sure everyone felt comfortable and included. Dechen, our driver, was equally wonderful. His driving was safe and smooth, even on the winding mountain roads, which made the journeys between destinations very comfortable. He was always punctual, polite, and had a calm and friendly presence that added to the overall experience. What truly stood out was the warmth, respect, and positivity both Sangay and Dechen brought to the trip. They were not just guide and driver, but became an important part of the journey—making it fun, stress-free, and filled with good moments. Their coordination and support throughout ensured that everything ran seamlessly. Overall, the trip was a perfect mix of scenic beauty, cultural experiences, and genuine hospitality. The professionalism and dedication shown by the entire team made this journey truly special.
