Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival at Bagdogra and Transfer to Phuntsholing

Meet & Greet at Bagdogra airport and drive to Phuntsholing via Beautiful Doors Tea Garden. It takes approximately 4 hours of drive.
Check into hotel and take rest
Evening stroll around Zangdupelri Chorten and Phuntsholing town
Overnight at Phuntsholing

Day 2 Drive to Thimphu and Sightseeing on the way

After breakfast in the hotel, head towards the Immigration office for Immigration clearance
Drive to Thimphu via scenic forest/ hills/ mountains which will take approximately 4 hours’ drive.
Stop on the way at Gedhu, Whankha Waterfall, and Chonzom for sightseeing
Check-in to the hotel and take a rest
Evening stroll around Thimphu Clock Tower Square/ Town.
Overnight at Thimphu

Day 3 Punakha Day Excursions

After early breakfast in the hotel we will drive to Punakha for sightseeing. It will take approximately 2 hours 30 minutes’ drive.
On the way, we will stop at Dochu La Pass for sightseeing and photography. On a clear day, we can see 108 stupas and the beautiful Himalayan ranges.
Stop at Chimi Lhakhan (Temple of Fertility). If you are planning to have a baby, you should visit this place.
Visit Punakha Dzong - the beautiful Dzong in Bhutan
Visit Bhutan's Longest Suspension bridge and meet locals across the bridge and interact with them.
Drive back to Thimphu
Overnight at Thimphu.

Day 4 Thimphu Local Sightseeing and Drive to Paro

Buddha Point (Buddha Dordenma Statue), the tallest Buddha statue in the world
Simply Bhutan, the living museum
The Royal Textile Museum
National Institute for Zorig Chusum, to see the Bhutanese architecture
Mini Zoo & Sangaygan View Point (BBS tower) – beautiful Thimphu valley view
Tashicho Dzong (Thimphu Dzong)
Visit craft market (Bazar)/ Walk around centenary park
Drive to Paro
Overnight at Paro

Day 5 Tiger's Nest Hike and Paro Local Sightseeing

After early breakfast at Hotel, start the Tiger’s Nest hike. It will take from 5 hours to 8 hours depending upon the guest ability to hike. This is the must-see place in Bhutan.

Stroll around Paro town towards evening for last minute shopping and photography
Hot Stone Bath to relax yourselves after tiring hike to Tiger’s Nest.

Day 6 Paro Local Sightseeing and Drive to Phuntsholing

After breakfast visit Paro Dzong (Nya-mey Zam) and Paro Museum (Ta Dzong)

From the very start i.e trip planning, to the very end i.e us reaching our home, Mr Bharat and AVTT representatives have, in my opinion - truly delivered. The itinerary was flawlessly planned and executed, perfectly accommodating even the smallest of our needs along the way. We had the pleasure of meeting some truly wonderful people during our trip: Roma, our guide, was exceptionally generous w (Read More)ith her time and always eager to answer our questions. I had always thought that tour guides were often hard to connect with, but I was completely wrong. Her thoughtful insights, engaging stories, and lighthearted conversations, often laced with humor, truly enhanced our experience. Mr. Bikas, our driver, was a great guy with some fantastic stories! We had a blast listening to him, and his punctuality was spot on—no matter how hard we tried, we couldn’t beat him at being on time! ? And finally, Mr. Bharat and his family—it’s clear that he is incredibly professional and deeply passionate about delivering outstanding experiences through AVTT. From the moment I began planning this trip, I had a strong impression of his dedication, and meeting him in Thimphu only confirmed it. As for Bhutan itself... it’s absolutely worth visiting. I won’t go into the details here, but I’ll just say, "Make sure to visit at least once in your lifetime." The planing and execution of tour was great. They Considered personal requests as my wife was pregnant. The guide and captain. The tour manager Mr. Bharat met us personally in Thimphu and welcomed us with gift also. Our trip was great with them.

Food in hotels was not satisfactory in some hotels.
