Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Haridwar to Barkot (By Drive/06 hrs)
Today, proceed to Barkot. En route, enjoy the scenic view of Kempty Falls, the most fascinating and largest waterfall. Upon arrival at Barkot, check-in at the hotel. Barkot is a place of immense scenic beauty, surrounded by spectacular views of snow-capped mountains and located at the foothills of Yamunotri.
Morning drive to Jankichatti (approx. 02 hrs drive). From Jankichatti, start the trek to Yamunotri (06 km/approx. 03 hrs one way).

Yamunotri: (Altitude: 10,800 FT)
The source of the holy river Yamuna and the seat of Goddess Yamuna. Yamunotri is the first sacred destination of the Chardham Yatra. This dham is dedicated to Goddess Yamuna, regarded as the daughter of the Sun God (Surya Dev). Upon arrival, take a holy dip in Taptkund (hot water spring) before entering the temple. Visit Yamunotri Temple and Divyashila. Later, trek back to Jankichatti and drive to Barkot.
Today, proceed to Uttarkashi, situated on the banks of the river Bhagirathi and known for its historical monuments, temples, and ashrams. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel. Later, visit Vishwanath Temple, one of the oldest temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. A massive iron trident, symbolic of the divine mother, is erected and worshipped in the temple complex. Overnight at the hotel.
After an early breakfast, proceed to Gangotri. En route, take a holy dip in the hot water spring at Gangnani. Most devotees bathe in this natural spring before heading to Gangotri.

Gangotri: (Altitude: 10,250 FT)
The source of the holy river Ganga (Bhagirathi). According to Hindu legends, the Ganga descended from heaven to earth at Gangotri when Lord Shiva released the mighty river from his locks. Upon arrival, take a dip in the sacred river. Visit Gangotri Temple, the highest and most important temple of Goddess Ganga.
Today, proceed to Guptkashi. En route, enjoy the view of the beautiful “Rudraprayag Sangam” (confluence of rivers Alaknanda and Mandakini). Upon arrival at Guptkashi, check in at the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Today, proceed to Sonprayag (35 kms/ Approx 1.5 hrs drive). Upon arrival, take a local Jeep from Sonprayag to Gaurikund (03 kms)- on a direct payment basis (Only local vehicles are allowed from Sonprayag to Gaurikund). Start the trek from Gaurikund to Kedarnath (17 kms trek). Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel.
Kedarnath(Altitude-11,750 FT): One of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva is a scenic spot against the backdrop of the majestic Kedarnath range. Kedar is another name for Lord Shiva, the protector and the destroyer. According to legend, the Pandavas, after having won over the Kaurava in the Kurukshetra war, felt guilty for having killed their brothers and sought the blessings of Lord Shiva for redemption. He eluded them repeatedly and, while fleeing, took refuge at Kedarnath in the form of a bull. On being followed, he dived into the ground, leaving his hump on the surface. Later, visit Kedarnath Temple, and in the evening, enjoy the  magnificent Lord Shiva Aarti (Worship)

Today trek down to Gaurikund. Upon arrival, take Local Jeep (On a direct payment basis) to Sonprayag & further drive to Guptkashi. Upon arrival, check into hotel. Overnight at hotel

Today, proceed to Govindghat via Chopta, a picturesque hamlet known as the "Mini Switzerland of Uttarakhand." En route, visit Karanprayag Sangam, Nandprayag Sangam, and Vishnu Prayag Sangam. Continue driving to Badrinath. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel.
Visit Badrinath Temple for a holy darshan. Later, proceed to Auli for an overnight stay.
Today marks the end of your Chardham Yatra. You will be dropped off at your preferred location in Haridwar.

Our Kedarnath and Badrinath trip was a wonderful experience, and the credit goes (Read More) to Shubh Dham Travels for making it smooth and hassle-free. Initially, I was a little hesitant about making the payment in advance, but everything turned out to be well-managed and trustworthy. We booked a complete package that included a private taxi, hotel accommodations, breakfast, and dinner. The hotels provided were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making our stay pleasant throughout the journey. What impressed me the most was their excellent customer support. A special thanks to Jyoti, who assisted us throughout the entire trip. From the planning stage until the very last day of the journey, she was always available to help and promptly addressed our concerns. During the trip, we faced a minor issue when the taxi arrived late, but Jyoti responded immediately and ensured that the matter was resolved quickly. After that, everything was well-coordinated and on time. Overall, it was a well-organized trip with reliable service, good accommodations, and outstanding customer support. I would definitely recommend Shubh Dham Travels to anyone planning a Char Dham, Kedarnath, or Badrinath pilgrimage.
It would be better if guests were given an option to upgrade to a room in the sa (Read More)me hotel by paying only the difference in amount, subject to room availability. This option could be provided at the hotel itself. In my case, I had booked a tent accommodation, I was not having much idea about it. After reaching the hotel, I requested a room instead. However, I had to pay the full room charge, and the amount I had already paid for the tent (around ₹2,000) was not adjusted. As a result, that amount was completely wasted. Having a room upgrade option with proper adjustment of the existing booking amount would make the experience much more convenient for travelers.

Everything was planned and managed perfectly. The hotel stays in Sirsi and Auli (Read More)had wonderful mountain views, and the rooms were clean and cozy. Overall, highly recommended for budget-friendly and comfortable tours with Uttra Holidays.
The car driver drove the car very fast even after being told to reduce the speed (Read More). But once I complained to the manager, he started driving normally.
