Day 1 Arrival at NJP/IXB

Our tour operators will receive you at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) or Bagdogra Airport (IXB) and transfer you to Darjeeling. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and spend the rest of the time at leisure. Overnight stay in Darjeeling.

Early morning at 3:45 AM, drive to Tiger Hill (8,000 ft) to witness the sunrise over Khangchendzonga Peak (subject to clear weather and availability of permits). On the way back, visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. Return to the hotel for breakfast and start the city tour, which includes:

  • Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park
  • Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday)
  • Ropeway
  • Tenzing Gumpo Rock
  • Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Centre (Closed on Sunday)
  • Tea Estate (Outer view)

We missed few places in site seeing list and that could have been avoided, retur (Read More)n airport drop cab vehicle not hygienic and not as good as pickup cab. Hotel room located 3 rd floor with no lift there, otherwise okay, Over all we can give 3.8 out of 5
