Day 1 Haridwar to Barkot
  • Today, proceed to Barkot.
  • En route, enjoy a view of Kempty Fall, the most fascinating and significant waterfall.
  • Upon arrival in Barkot, check in at Hotel Barkot.
  • Hotel Barkot is situated in a place of great scenic beauty, offering spectacular views of snow-capped mountains all around and located at the foot of Yamunotri.
  • Overnight stay at the hotel.
  • Morning drive to Jankichatti (Approx. 2 hours drive)
  • From Jankichatti, start the trek to Yamunotri (6 km / Approx. 3 hours one way)
  • Yamunotri (Altitude: 10,800 ft):
    • Yamunotri is the source of the holy river Yamuna and the seat of Goddess Yamuna.
    • The Yamunotri Dham is the first sacred destination of the Chardham Yatra.
    • This Dham is dedicated to Goddess Yamuna, who is regarded as a daughter of the Sun God (Surya Dev).
    • Upon arrival, you can take a holy dip in Taptkund (hot water spring) before entering the temple.
    • Visit Yamunotri Temple and Divyashila.
  • Later, trek down to Jankichatti and drive to Barkot.
  • Overnight at the hotel.
  • Today, proceed to Uttarkashi, situated on the banks of the river Bhagirathi, which is famous for its historical monuments, temples, and ashrams.
  • Upon arrival, check in at the hotel.
  • Later, visit Vishwanath Temple, one of the oldest Shiva temples.
  • A massive iron trident, symbolic of the divine mother, has been erected and worshiped from time immemorial at the temple complex.
  • Overnight at the hotel.
  • After breakfast, proceed to Gangotri.
  • En route, take a holy dip in the hot water spring at Gangnani. Most devotees take a holy dip in this natural hot water spring before heading toward Gangotri.
  • GANGOTRI: (Altitude - 10,250 FT) is the source of the most holy river, ?The Ganges,? also called Bhagirathi. According to Hindu legends, the river Ganga descended from heaven to earth at Gangotri when Lord Shiva released the mighty river from his locks.
  • Continue the drive to Gangotri. Upon arrival, dip in the sacred river Ganges, also known as Bhagirathi, at its origin.
  • After the dip, visit the Gangotri Temple, the highest and most important temple of Goddess Ganga.
  • Later, drive back to Uttarkashi. En route, enjoy the beauty of Harsil Valley, which is famous for its natural beauty and majestic views of the Deodar trees and mountains.
  • Overnight at the hotel.
  • Today, proceed to Guptkashi.
  • En route, enjoy a view of the beautiful Rudraprayag Sangam(where the River Alaknanda meets the River Mandakini).
  • Upon arrival in Guptkashi, check in at the hotel.
  • Overnight stay at the hotel.
  • Kedarnath (Altitude: 11,750 FT): One of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, Kedarnath is a scenic spot situated against the backdrop of the majestic Kedarnath range.
  • Kedar is another name for Lord Shiva, the protector and destroyer.
  • According to legend, the Pandavas, after winning over the Kauravas in the Kurukshetra war, felt guilty for having killed their own brothers and sought the blessings of Lord Shiva for redemption.
  • He eluded them repeatedly and, while fleeing, took refuge at Kedarnath in the form of a bull.
  • When followed, he dived into the ground, leaving his hump on the surface.
  • After the Darshan, hike downward to Sonprayag.
  • A vehicle will pick you up and drop you at the hotel.
  • Today, proceed to Badrinath via Chopta.
  • Chopta, a picturesque hamlet still unexplored by travelers, is also famous as the "Mini Switzerland of Uttarakhand."
  • En route, take a look at the following confluences:

We booked our Chardham Yatra package (4 people - family) with Get Go Trip in Sep (Read More)’ 2026. We had a great experience with them. The whole team is friendly, polite and they accommodated well with our preferences of hotels and itinerary. The hotels we stayed in were also very comfortable - rooms were clean, food was fresh and views were filled with scenic beauty!! The driver was also very experienced, he drove smoothly and safely on risky roads, kept the car clean, always had real-time information about routes/ diversions because of landslides, and he also had amazing mid-way restaurants’ recommendations. Overall I would give Get Go Trip a 5/5 ⭐️

Tour planning was very good. Agent was in regular touch with us for day to day f (Read More)eed back. Hotels were good in maximum cases as per our demand excepting one at Badrinath.
Condition of the vehicle would have been better specially the driver who was not (Read More) at all cooperative, accommodate and insensitive and not at all fit for tourist vehicle. Since there was no other person to guide on behalf of agency selection of driver should be carefully done.

We had a wonderful experience with mountview during our Char Dham Yatra. The ent (Read More)ire trip was very well organized, from transportation and hotel arrangements to the overall itinerary. What impressed us the most was their constant communication and support throughout the entire trip. The team stayed in touch with us regularly and was always available whenever we needed assistance. Due to unexpected circumstances, our yatra had to be stopped for two days, but the team handled the situation extremely well. They rescheduled the yatra smoothly and completely hassle-free, without causing us unnecessary stress or inconvenience. Their professionalism, coordination, and genuine concern for pilgrims made our journey much more peaceful and comfortable. We truly appreciate their support and would highly recommend them for a Char Dham Yatra.
