Day 1 Arrival in Dehradun
Upon arrival at Dehradun airport, you will be welcomed by our chauffeur who will assist you with a comfortable transfer to your hotel. After check-in, relax and unwind at the hotel, soaking in the serene surroundings. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in Dehradun, preparing yourself for the sacred journey ahead.
The day begins early as you depart from Sahastradhara Helipad at 10:00 AM, so it’s recommended to leave the hotel by 8:45 AM. After a short helicopter ride, you will arrive at Kharsali Helipad near Yamunotri by 10:30 AM. Upon landing, check in at the charming Himalayan Nature Resort, beautifully set amidst apple orchards and rivers. Palkis (palanquins) will be arranged to take you on the 5.5 km trek to Yamunotri Temple, perched at an altitude of 8,500 feet, where you will seek the blessings of Goddess Yamuna. In the evening, you can visit the ancient Shani Temple, believed to be the world’s first temple dedicated to Lord Shani, adding a spiritual touch to your stay.
After breakfast, you will board the helicopter at Kharsali Helipad at 10:30 AM and reach Harsil Helipad near Gangotri by 11:00 AM, enjoying breathtaking aerial views of bugyals (Himalayan meadows) and snow-covered peaks, including the Swargarohini range. On arrival, check in to your hotel at Harsil, a picturesque village known as the “Mini Switzerland of India,” nestled along the Bhagirathi River. Later, a car ride (approximately 45 minutes) will take you to Gangotri Temple. After your darshan, return to the hotel to relax amidst stunning natural beauty. In the evening, take a walk to the ancient Lord Vishnu Temple and Hari Shila rock, where local legends tell of Lord Vishnu calming the anger of two rivers. End your day with a cozy riverside bonfire.
Your helicopter departs from Harsil Helipad at 11:00 AM, reaching Sersi Helipad by 11:30 AM for a changeover to Kedarnath Helipad. Kedarnath, located at 11,500 feet, offers awe-inspiring views of the Himalayas. After arrival, you will be escorted to your hotel, situated right opposite the temple. Later, enjoy VIP darshan at Kedarnath Temple, followed by the evening aarti, a powerful and moving experience. For those interested, arrangements can be made for the Rudrabhishek puja, coordinated by our team. You may also explore the newly renovated Shankaracharya Samadhi and, for the adventurous, take a short but steep trek to Bhairon Mandir for panoramic views.
Departing early at 8:00 AM, you will board the helicopter from Kedarnath (via Sersi) and fly to Badrinath, arriving by 8:40 AM. En route, marvel at the majestic Chaukhamba Peak, the highest on the route, and, if the weather permits, catch glimpses of the iconic Tungnath Temple and Nanda Devi Peak. After check-in at the luxurious Sarovar Portico, the best hotel in Badrinath, you will proceed for VIP darshan at Badrinath Temple. Later, visit Mana Village, the last village before the India-Tibet border, where you can explore the legendary Vyas Gufa (where the Mahabharata was composed) and Bhim Pul, a massive rock bridge believed to have been placed by Bhim for Draupadi. In the evening, take part in the mesmerizing Shayan Aarti inside the temple, an intimate spiritual ceremony limited to a small group of devotees.
After breakfast, bid farewell to the divine landscapes as you depart from Badrinath Helipad at 8:30 AM and arrive back at Sahastradhara Helipad, Dehradun. Our services conclude here, but you will carry home unforgettable memories, spiritual blessings, and the serene essence of the Himalayas in your heart.
