Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Sri Lanka – Transfer to Dambulla
Upon your arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your private chauffeur-guide who will assist you with all formalities. From the airport, you’ll set off on a scenic inland journey through Sri Lanka’s lush countryside, heading toward Dambulla. Once you check in at your hotel, take the rest of the day to relax and recover from your travels. Enjoy an overnight stay in Dambulla, preparing for the exciting cultural exploration ahead.
After breakfast at the hotel, you will climb the famous Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you’ll marvel at panoramic views and admire the ancient frescoes adorning the rock walls. Next, explore the Dambulla Cave Temple, Sri Lanka’s largest and most impressive cave temple complex, decorated with centuries-old murals and statues. En route to Kandy, you’ll stop at a spice garden to learn about indigenous spices and enjoy a refreshing herbal drink. In the evening, immerse yourself in the cultural richness of Kandy by watching a traditional dance performance, complete with vibrant drumming and fire-walking. Overnight stay will be in Kandy.
You may opt for a visit to a gem museum in Kandy in the morning before departing for Kithulgala, a renowned adventure hub surrounded by pristine nature. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can take part in white water rafting on the Kelani River, navigating rapids and jungle landscapes. The journey continues to Nuwara Eliya, often called “Little England” thanks to its colonial-era charm and cool climate. On arrival, you’ll enjoy a city tour, visiting Gregory Lake, colonial landmarks, and bustling local markets. Overnight stay will be in Nuwara Eliya.
After breakfast, you will head to Ella, where you can hike up Little Adam’s Peak, a gentle trail offering stunning views of valleys and tea plantations. Don’t miss the chance to visit the iconic Nine Arch Bridge, one of Sri Lanka’s most photogenic spots, set amidst lush greenery. For thrill-seekers, the Flying Ravana zipline experience is available, allowing you to glide over tea estates for an unforgettable rush. Later, you’ll transfer to Yala, located in the wild southeast region of the country, where you will spend the night.
Begin your day with a peaceful visit to Kirinda Beach, a serene seaside spot known for its spiritual significance. Continue your exploration with a visit to the Mulkirigala Rock Temple, an ancient multi-tiered temple carved directly into rock. Later, stroll through the UNESCO-listed Galle Fort, where colonial streets and ramparts blend seamlessly with stunning coastal views. You’ll also visit the Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery, learning about marine conservation efforts and seeing rescued turtles up close. Overnight stay will be in Hikkaduwa.
After breakfast, set off on a Madu River boat safari, gliding through lush mangroves and even enjoying the novelty of a natural fish therapy foot massage. You’ll then transfer to Colombo, the energetic capital of Sri Lanka, where a city tour will introduce you to highlights like Galle Face Green, Independence Square, Gangaramaya Temple, and the city’s stylish shopping arcades. Overnight stay will be in Colombo.
