Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Nairobi
  • You will be picked up from the airport.
  • You will be taken to your  Hotel, where you will spend the night.
  • After enjoying your morning breakfast, you will be picked up at the Weston Hotel and depart for Nakuru to arrive in time for lunch.
  • In the evening, you will be taken to Lake Nakuru National Park for an evening game drive. The park is considered a "premium park" due to its unique and abundant wildlife, particularly its large flamingo population, as well as its role as a rhino sanctuary. The park also boasts diverse birdlife, with over 400 species, and offers a variety of habitats for various mammal species, making it a rewarding game-viewing destination.
  • On a good day at Lake Nakuru National Park, you are likely to see a wide array of wildlife, including black and white rhinos, lions, leopards, and various bird species, especially the iconic flamingos. You might also spot giraffes, zebras, buffalos, and other mammals like waterbucks and impalas.
  • Dinner and overnight stay.
  • Meals: Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner
  • After breakfast, you will check out and leave for Menengai Crater. You will be able to view the crater, which is considered one of the best-preserved Krakatau-style calderas in the world and the largest in Kenya.
  • Later, you will proceed to Naivasha in time for lunch. In the afternoon, you will visit Crescent Island and then proceed to Lake Naivasha, where you will use a boat to cross over to Crescent Island. The island is a game sanctuary and a popular attraction on Lake Naivasha in Kenya's Great Rift Valley. It is a peninsula accessible by boat, offering visitors the chance to walk among free-roaming wildlife, including giraffes, zebras, and wildebeest. The island is also known for its birdlife and stunning views of the surrounding landscape.
  • You will spend the evening on the island, where you will have the opportunity to do a nature walk among animals in a very quiet and serene habitat. Later, you will return to the lodge.
  • Dinner and overnight stay.
  • Meals: Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner
  • After breakfast, you will be taken to Hell's Gate National Park for a game drive.
  • Bicycles are available for hire if you wish to cycle.
  • You will later be taken to the only geothermal natural spa in Africa for a warm swim.
  • The spa is located at the center of Hell's Gate National Park and is a hub of natural hot water that collects in a pool.
  • The hot water comes from different wells and is in the form of hot steam that cools through collecting pipes into a main pool, which has a temperature between 30 to 40 degrees Celsius; this is why the spa is termed geothermal.
  • Later, you will be taken back to the hotel.
  • Overnight and dinner.
  • Meals: Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner
  • After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge before 10:00 AM and leave for Nairobi.
  • Catch your flight to Mombasa.
  • You will be picked up at English Point Hotel for a Mombasa City tour accompanied by lunch. You will be able to visit the following places:
    • Mama Ngina Waterfront: A beautiful park located on the coast of Mombasa, Kenya, offering an enchanting escape into nature while providing breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean. This urban oasis spans a significant area filled with well-maintained gardens, pathways, and recreational areas that invite visitors to unwind and explore. The park is lined with palm trees and features a variety of local flora that enhances its natural beauty. Apart from its scenic landscapes, Mama Ngina Waterfront is a cultural hub where visitors can find local art vendors and craftsmen showcasing their talents.
    • Fort Jesus: A living museum of history, culture, and artifacts. The fort itself, along with exhibits within its grounds and structure, showcases remnants of Portuguese warships, Omani weaponry, and jewelry, among other items. Artifacts from the slave trade era, Chinese porcelain, and Persian amulets are also on display.
    • Spice Market: Stretching along Nehru and Langoni Roads west of the Old Town, it is an evocative sensory overload-expect lots of jostling, yelling, wheeling, dealing, and, of course, the exotic scent of stalls filled with cardamom, pepper, turmeric, and curry powders, with stalls along Langoni Road selling delicious street food.
    • Hindu Temples: Including visits to the Shree Cutch Satsang Swaminarayan Temple and the Shiva Temple. These temples offer unique experiences, with the Swaminarayan Temple featuring beautiful architecture and paintings, while the Shiva Temple provides a peaceful atmosphere and a story of its origins.
    • Uhuru Gardens: A tribute to the country's struggle for independence, adorned with monuments that pay homage to the heroes of the past. This expansive garden showcases a stunning array of tropical plants, vibrant flowers, and towering trees that create a serene atmosphere, perfect for a peaceful retreat from the bustling city.
    • The Tusks: Also known as "Pembe za Ndovu" (Swahili for elephant tusks), these are a prominent landmark in Mombasa, Kenya, located on Moi Avenue. Constructed in 1952, these giant aluminum elephant tusks are a memorial to the visit of Queen Elizabeth II and a symbol of Mombasa and Kenya's wildlife heritage.
  • You will enjoy dinner and spend the night at English Point Hotel.

Meals:  Lunch - Dinner

  • After breakfast, you will be picked up at the hotel and transferred to Diani.
  • Arrive in Diani and check in at the hotel.

Eliud at Safiri Nasi provided travel services to us to add to both the front and back end of our work trip to Kenya. With Safiri Nasi, we visited Nakuru and Naivasha National Parks, staying at the fa (Read More)bulous Sopa Lodges, and then at the end of our trip, we traveled from Mombasa to Diani Beach and visited Kisite Mpunguti Marine Park. Eliud arranged and provided all required flights, drivers, lodging and activities with diligence and care, seamlessly coordinating with our work schedule. He was available to us at a moment’s notice throughout our time in Kenya. I highly recommend Eliud and Safiri Nasi to anyone planning a trip to Kenya!

Had the pleasure of traveling with them to Lamu in 2021 and all that I can say the experience was much more than I expected. I would vouch for them any day.
