Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Tanzania – Kilimanjaro International Airport

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our professional safari representative and transferred to your lodge in Arusha. Settle into your lodge and relax after your international journey. Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy the lodge gardens or optional city orientation. Accommodation: Planet Lodge (Bed & Breakfast)

After breakfast, depart at 08:30 hrs for Tarangire National Park, a hidden gem famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and rich biodiversity. Enjoy a full-day game drive exploring seasonal swamps, savannah plains, and river valleys teeming with wildlife such as lions, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and numerous bird species. A picnic lunch will be served inside the park at a scenic site. In the late afternoon, continue your game drive before heading to your lodge. Accommodation: Tarangire Simba Lodge or similar (Full Board)

After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a morning game drive. This scenic park is known for its lush groundwater forest, large troops of baboons, tree-climbing lions, and flamingo-filled lake shores. After a picnic lunch, continue your journey into the cool and fertile Ngorongoro Highlands, offering spectacular views of the crater rim and surrounding landscapes. Arrive at your lodge for relaxation and sunset views. Accommodation: Farm of Dreams Lodge or similar (Full Board)

After an early breakfast, descend 600 meters into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. This UNESCO World Heritage Site offers one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa, including elephants, lions, hyenas, rhinos, buffalo, and abundant antelope species. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the crater before ascending and continuing toward Serengeti National Park, crossing vast open plains en route. Accommodation: Tukaone Serengeti Camp (Mwaloni area) or similar (Full Board)

Begin your day with an early morning game drive in Central Serengeti, where predators are highly active. After breakfast, depart with a picnic lunch towards the Northern/Western Serengeti, following the migration route across changing landscapes and wildlife corridors. Expect en-route sightings of elephants, giraffes, lions, and large herds of wildebeest and zebras. Accommodation: Tukaone Hembe Camp or similar (Full Board)

Spend a full day tracking the Great Migration across the vast plains of the Serengeti ecosystem. Witness massive herds of wildebeest and zebra moving in search of fresh grazing, often shadowed by lions, cheetahs, and hyenas. Enjoy both morning and afternoon game drives with a break at camp for lunch and relaxation. Accommodation: Tukaone Hembe Camp or similar (Full Board)

Another full day dedicated to exploring the migration routes and predator hotspots. This area offers dramatic wildlife encounters, especially during seasonal movement periods, with exceptional photography opportunities and unforgettable safari moments. Accommodation: Tukaone Hembe Camp or similar (Full Board)

Enjoy a full-day game drive in the legendary Mara River region of Serengeti National Park. This is one of the most dramatic wildlife settings in Africa, where wildebeest crossings may be witnessed (seasonal), often involving crocodiles and predators waiting along the banks. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed in the bush. Accommodation: Tukaone Hembe Camp or similar (Full Board)

Enjoy an early morning game drive followed by breakfast at camp. Transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your international departure.

Vegetation becomes thinner, water sources shrink, and animals gather in large numbers around rivers and permanent waterholes—creating exceptional game viewing opportunities across the northern safari circuit. This is also an exciting transitional month for the Great Wildebeest Migration, as vast herds move from the central Serengeti toward the Western Corridor and Grumeti region, with increasing predator activity and dramatic wildlife encounters.
