Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Nairobi

Arrival: JKIA International Airport, Nairobi
Transfer: Meet and greet with our representative. Transfer to your city center hotel for check-in.
Optional: Relax or opt for city tours and excursions in Nairobi based on your arrival time.
Dinner: Transfer to the famous Carnivore Restaurant for a unique dining experience.

Day 2 Nairobi - Masai Mara

Morning: Early pick-up from your hotel. Board our jeep and drive to Masai Mara, stopping at the Great Escarpments for a photo session.
Arrival: Check in at your camp and have lunch. Relax in the afternoon.
Afternoon: Game drive at Masai Mara. Spot zebras, antelopes, giraffes, elephants, and lions.
Evening: Return to camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 Full Day in Masai Mara

Morning: After breakfast, embark on a full-day game drive with a packed picnic lunch. Explore the reserve in search of the Big Five.
Lunch: Enjoy your meal by the Mara River, watching wildebeest crossings and crocodiles.
Afternoon: Continue the game drive, spotting animals active during this time.
Evening: Return to camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 Masai Mara - Lake Nakuru

Morning: Breakfast at the camp, followed by check-out. Drive to Lake Nakuru with stops for lunch and coffee.
Afternoon: Check-in at your hotel in Nakuru and relax.
Evening: Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5 Lake Nakuru - Lake Naivasha

Morning: Early breakfast and check-out. Morning game drive at Lake Nakuru National Park, known for its Rhino Sanctuary.
Lunch: On the way to Naivasha, with stops for better views and spotting Flamingos and birdlife.

Day 7 Amboseli

Morning: Breakfast at the camp, followed by a full day of game viewing in Amboseli National Park.
Afternoon: Spot large elephant herds, buffaloes, antelopes, and a variety of birdlife.
Evening: Return to camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8 Amboseli - Nairobi

Morning: Early breakfast, then drive back to Nairobi with a stopover for shopping.
Afternoon: Drop off at the city center or your hotel for continued stay.

I was a bit hesitant to book with Samson Safaris at first due to some mixed reviews online, but they truly exceeded my expectations. There was a minor issue with the accommodation, but they handled it (Read More) quickly and even upgraded me to a luxury camp at no extra cost. I had an amazing time in the Maasai Mara and Nairobi—everything was well organized and memorable. I'm really glad I chose them!

Booked a 3-day Maasai Mara safari with Samson Safaris and it was a huge letdown. Pickup was late, the van broke down and the “mid-range lodge” I paid for turned out to be a basic budget tent with no h (Read More)ot water. The driver rushed through game drives, ignored requests to slow down, and even argued with guests. No bottled water, poor meals and a stressful ride back to Nairobi. What should have been a dream trip was frustrating from start to finish. Definitely not recommended.
