Day 1 Airport Pickup – Guwahati to Dirang (390km/9hrs)

We will receive you at the airport early (around 8 AM) and proceed directly to Dirang. This beautiful valley lies in the foothills of the Himalayan ranges, surrounded by scenic landscapes. The key attractions include Dirang Monastery, Dirang Dzong, Tibetan architecture, and a hot water spring—arrive by 5 PM.

After breakfast, we will start the day with a sightseeing tour of the Dirang Valley. We then proceed to Tawang, a picturesque town on the Himalayan slopes. En route, you will visit the stunning Sela Pass (13,700 ft), Nuranang Waterfalls, and the Jaswant Garh War Memorial. Tawang offers spectacular walking trails and is historically significant for its role in the 1962 Indo-China war.

Begin your day with a visit to the breathtaking Shonga-tser Lake (Madhuri Lake), surrounded by snow-capped mountains. Next, explore Bum La Pass, the Indo-China border located at 15,200 ft above sea level (subject to road clearance by the Indian Army and requires a local taxi). Stop by Heart Lake, PTSO Lake, and Naghula Lake on your return. Tawang’s local attractions include the Tawang Monastery and a light and sound show at the Tawang War Memorial.

After breakfast, we will travel to Bomdila. Here, you can visit the Bomdila Monastery and Tipi Orchidarium, home to over 5000 species of orchids, some of which are rare. Bomdila offers stunning views from its viewpoints. In the evening, explore the local market.

After breakfast, we depart for Ziro, located north of Itanagar. En route, visit the Nyishi tribal village to experience their unique culture. Upon arrival in Ziro, walk through Apatani tribal villages like Diibo and Bulla and interact with the locals. Admire their distinctive tattoos and traditional nose piercings.

After breakfast, explore the scenic Ziro Valley. Start your day with a visit to Hong village and interact with the Apatani people. Take a walk around their bamboo houses and explore their farmlands. Visit Hapoli market for local handicrafts and enjoy local delicacies like rice beer. You may also opt for a Kiwi wine tour at a local winery.

Post breakfast, travel to Itanagar, the capital of Arunachal Pradesh. Spend the day leisurely, exploring landmarks like Ita Fort, Ganga Lake, and the Itanagar Zoo (if time permits).
