/personPick up from the airport or your hotel in Nairobi and start your journey to Amboseli National Park through the scenic Athi Plains and into the flat grassland of Amboseli nestled at the foothills of Mt. Kilimanjaro. You will arrive in time for lunch, have some relaxation and go for a late afternoon game viewing in the park. Amboseli is a big game country with elephants antelope, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo and giraffes. Spend the afternoon in search of the wildlife offerings of the park
Have breakfast then set out for a full day photography and game viewing, This will introduce you to the intense beauty and drama that fills the park with predators stalking the herds of animals grazing, a theatre of life and death. Photographically it is very rewarding. Its flat and dusty plains and dry lake beds provide amazing backdrops for dramatic and evocative images, especially in certain remote areas of the park. In the early mornings and late afternoons the snowy peak of Mt Kilimanjaro may emerge from the clouds, and when a herd of Elephants appear in the distance it is one of the most iconic scenes in the entire African continent.
On our photo safaris here in Amboseli we focus almost exclusively on photographing the Elephants. If you are keen on photographing Elephants, you will love one of our photo safaris trips dedicated to these beautiful giants in the wet months, when the Elephants are most active. Other safaris during the dry months include Amboseli as part of their itinerary.
You will have breakfast then game drive enroute to the gate. You will arrive the Tsavo in time for lunch, followed by a short relaxation then late afternoon game vieiwing.
This park is considered one of the world’s biodiversity strongholds, and its popularity is mostly due to the vast amounts of diverse wildlife that can be seen, including the famous ‘big five’ consisting of lion, black rhino, cape buffalo, elephant and leopard. The park is also home to a great variety of bird life such as the, crowned crane, black kite and the sacred ibis. Tsavo East National Park is generally flat, with dry plains across which the Galana River flows. Other features include the Yatta Plateau and Lugard falls.
Have an early breakfast, Counter-check your birding equipments and start your game drive with a parked lunch in the park. In the evening have your dinner and overstay at Voi Wildlife Lodge. This vast area is excellent Birding country, popular with specialist birding safaris. Notable species recorded include the rare Basra Reed Warbler, Friedmann’s Lark, Ostrich, Blue Quail, Violet Wood hoopoe, Martial and Crowned Eagle.
Breakfast then depart for game drive with picnic lunch in Tsavo park.
