Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu
  • Meet with our local representative upon arrival at the airport in Kathmandu.
  • Kathmandu is the capital of Nepal, and the Kathmandu Valley serves as the political and cultural heart of the Kingdom.
  • The urban sprawl that comprises modern Kathmandu consists of two cities: Patan and Kathmandu.
  • Upon arrival in Kathmandu, transfer to the hotel.
  • After a short relaxation at the hotel, you will visit Pashupatinath, a significant site for Hindu culture in Nepal.
  • Pashupatinath is where holy sadhus pray, and cremations are conducted on the Bagmati River.
  • Next, we will continue to Bouddhanath, the holiest shrine for Buddhist culture in Nepal.
  • Bouddhanath features a large stupa and is a pilgrimage site for devout Buddhists.
  • Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
  • After checking out from the hotel, drive to Pokhara.
  • Pokhara is 210 km from Kathmandu and is approximately a 7-hour drive.
  • From Pokhara town (2,352 feet), there are splendid views right from the hotel in good weather.
  • En route, you have the option to go river rafting in the Trishuli River or enjoy a cable car ride at Manokamna Temple, both at your own cost.
  • Upon arrival in Pokhara, transfer to the hotel.
  • In the evening, you can walk along the famous Fewa Lake or go boating on Fewa Lake, both at your own cost.
  • Overnight stay at the hotel in Pokhara.
  • This morning, you will embark on an excursion to Sarangkot.
  • Sarangkot is the most popular tourist destination from which visitors can enjoy a stunning view of the Pokhara Valley and the magnificent mountains.
  • Sarangkot is located only 13 km from Lakeside, Pokhara.
  • It is the highest viewpoint for sunrise, standing at an elevation of 1,592 meters.
  • Sarangkot is cooler than Pokhara.
  • It can be easily reached by a 45 to 60-minute car ride from Pokhara.
  • Many tourists visit Sarangkot for the sunrise view and then return.
  • Paragliding is also available from Sarangkot.
  • From Sarangkot, Dhaulagiri can be seen to the far west in the northern direction.
  • The Annapurna range is visible on the same side when the weather is clear.
  • In the southern direction, the village overlooks the city of Pokhara and its lake on the northwestern outskirts.
  • After breakfast, you will visit Bindebasini Temple.
  • This is one of the oldest temples in Pokhara and was part of the Kaski Kingdom.
  • The main deity of the temple, Goddess Durga, was brought from India.
  • Apart from the peace and tranquility felt in this region, the temple premises offer a good view of the Himalayas on a clear day.
  • The temple is located in the bazaar area, allowing for a journey through the old bazaar to be combined with the temple visit.
  • Sightseeing at Devi's Fall, also known as Patale Chango, is a must; it is an impressive waterfall located 2 km southwest of Pokhara.
  • During the summer and rainy seasons, the waterfall showcases its true form, with gushing water splashing and making its way through the rocks.
  • Just opposite Devi's Fall, on the other side of the road, lies Gupteshwor Cave.
  • This cave is popular for its various natural formations created from limestone deposits.
  • Photography is strictly prohibited inside the cave.
  • This morning, after breakfast and checking out from the hotel, drive to Chitwan (140 km, approximately 4 hours).
  • Chitwan is one of Asia's premier wildlife reserves.
  • Its 360 square miles of tall grasslands and forests are home to a wide variety of mammals and birds, including several endangered species.
  • Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel.
  • This morning, enjoy jungle activities in Chitwan National Park.
  • Main attractions include:
    • Elephant Safari (Jeep Safari not included)
    • Nature walk
    • Bird watching
  • After lunch and checking out from the hotel, drive back to Kathmandu.
  • Kathmandu is 150 km away and a 5-hour drive from Chitwan.
  • Upon arrival in Kathmandu, transfer to the hotel.
  • Morning: After breakfast, check out from the hotel.
  • Visit Budhanilkantha (Jal Narayan), Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple), and Durbar Square.
  • All temples are adorned with colorful, fluttering prayer flags.
  • Swayambhunath crowns a hill overlooking the Kathmandu Valley and offers fantastic views of the city.
  • Later, drive to Kathmandu airport for your onward journey to India.
  • The tour concludes with lifelong memories.

They were unable to provide us with transportation as they already had prior boo (Read More)kings, so we had to arrange transport through other sources. The resort and hotels were good; however, at the time of booking, they had mentioned that the property in Pokhara would have a swimming pool. In reality, there was no swimming pool, and it was not even a resort but actually a hotel. Nevertheless, the overall stay arrangement was satisfactory.
Except for Siddhartha Riverside, the food at all other hotels and resorts in Nep (Read More)al was not good. They did not even have the basic courtesy to provide drinking water in the room. At the time of check-in, two bottles of water were provided, but the next morning when we asked for a refill, they said refills are only done after 12:00 PM. If we needed water before that, we had to purchase it ourselves. We have traveled extensively around the world, but we have never experienced such dry and unaccommodating behavior anywhere. Refilling drinking water is a very basic courtesy that hotels and resorts should provide.

I had an amazing experience with Holyland Adventure Tours and Travels during my (Read More)7 days / 6 nights trip to Nepal. Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. The itinerary covered beautiful places including Kathmandu temples, Chandragiri Hill, Bhaktapur, Nagarkot (sunrise & sunset), Pokhara, and adventure activities like paragliding and ziplining, along with the Sarangkot sunrise. Every destination was well planned and executed smoothly. Hotels, transportation, and overall arrangements were excellent. A special thanks to Arith, the manager and tour organizer, who was extremely supportive and took care of every detail. Even after the trip ended, he personally followed up to ensure we reached safely, which truly shows their professionalism and care. Our guide Bijay, appointed by Holyland, was outstanding—very friendly, knowledgeable, supportive, and an excellent driver, especially on hill routes. He made the journey comfortable and enjoyable throughout. Overall, the trip was stress-free, memorable, and perfectly managed. I highly recommend Holyland Adventure Tours and Travels to anyone planning to visit Nepal. Truly a trustworthy and professional travel company!
