Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Nairobi – Maasai Mara

At 0700 hrs, depart for Maasai Mara with a brief stopover at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint, arriving around 1300 hrs. Check in at the lodge, have lunch, and relax before your first thrilling game drive in the Maasai Mara game reserve. Enjoy dinner and overnight at Keekorok Lodge.

After breakfast, proceed for a full day game drive in the reserve. Search for Africa's Big Five and other wildlife. In the evening, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Keekorok Lodge.

Pick up from the lodge at 0500 hrs for a hot air balloon ride. After breakfast, enjoy a mid-morning game drive and a cultural visit to a Maasai village. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Keekorok Lodge.

After breakfast, check out and depart for Lake Naivasha. Arrive in time for lunch at Naivasha Sopa Lodge, followed by an afternoon boat ride at Crescent Island. Enjoy dinner and overnight at Lake Naivasha Sopa.

After breakfast, check out and depart for Nairobi. Visit the giraffe centre and have lunch at a restaurant of your choice. Optional shopping before being dropped off at your accommodation for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, check out at 0730 hrs and transfer to JKIA airport in time for your 1100 hrs departure flight.

All arrangements including hotel, game drives, food arrangements, personalised s (Read More)ervices by İmara Destinations was excellent We started our trip from New Delhi to Nairobi via Mumbai by Indigo flight. Dennis was there to welcome us at the airport early in the morning. We started off to Samburu, had lunch on the way had a relaxing evening at the resort. We had a wonderful game drive next day at the samburu national reserve, saw a leopard, zebra, giraffe, ostrich, etc from close quarters. We went to ol Pajeto conservancy, fed blind rhino, saw chimpanzees and other animals including two horned rhinos, proceeded to Nakuru saw pelicans, flamingos etc there, Masai Mara we stayed for three nights and had two game drives. Could see lots of lions, cheetah with its prey as well as a pregnant cheetah, zebras, giraffes etc. we also saw ostriches and other animals and birds there. We then went to Naivasha had a boat ride with walk and see crocodiles and hippos and crescent island visit walked with zebras, impalas and wildebeest but couldn’t see giraffe there. Due to floods last year many parts of crescent island got submerged so could only see part of the island. Our last destination was Amboseli park with game drive there. Overall it was a highly satisfying and interesting experience. İmara Destinations did a very good job of taking us to the exact spots where animals would be seen uninterrupted. Well done İmara Destinations. Thanks to Dennis and Murray for it

Just went for 8 day safari with James and Wild Portraits Safaris...it was spot o (Read More)n perfect. Reasons 1.Clear communication and replies always comes very quickly on WhatsApp. 2. Very genuine with suggestions and doesn't do things as a job or formality. 3. James is very knowledgeable. 4. The enthusiasm and passion shown by James was just so infectious. 5. The planning of itinerary takes care of all the finer details. 6. They really take care of your focus and they don't try to sell anything you are not interested in. For example we skipped the village visit because we didn't see value in it. 7. Quite flexible and adjusts as things progress.
