Leave Kenya’s capital city early in the morning and drive towards the Kenyan coast. Arrive at the camp/lodge for lunch. Later in the afternoon, head out and explore the semi-arid conservation area, which is covered in beautiful iron-rich red soils. The famous huge red elephants of Tsavo, along with lions, cheetahs, and leopards, are found here. After the safari, return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay after witnessing the magical African sunset.
Start the day with your choice of morning or evening game drives, or craft an ideal program with your professional safari guide. Tsavo is Kenya’s largest conservation area, home to the rare Hirola antelope, zebras, dik-diks, and a variety of antelopes. The dry plains have the Galana River snaking its way to the Indian Ocean, with water roaring over the rocks at Lugard’s Falls. Visit the Mudanda Rock, a natural dam that acts as a refuge for animals during the dry season. After a day of exploration, return to accommodation for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, head to the Taita Hills Wildlife Conservancy, covering 28,000 acres of diverse habitats. The Salt Lick Safari Lodge, with its waterhole, attracts animals like elephants. You’ll have the opportunity to see wildlife from the underground observation point. After lunch, enjoy a game drive in the sanctuary, then return to Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Leave early in the morning for Amboseli National Park. Arrive in time for lunch at Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge, then relax after the 4-hour drive. In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive, searching for elephants and other fascinating wildlife. Capture the stunning silhouette photography of Mount Kilimanjaro with animals in the foreground as the sun sets.
The itinerary is flexible, with half-day game drives in the morning and afternoon. Amboseli is the best place to see large herds of elephants, along with cheetahs, lions, and other big cats. Early morning drives offer a chance to spot rarer mammals like the honey badger and African civet. The sunrise over the plains, combined with the opportunity for early photography and a breakfast in the wild, is the perfect way to begin the day. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, drive back to Nairobi and arrive by early evening. You’ll either be dropped off at your hotel or at the airport.
