Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Guwahati Airport Pickup – Shillong (100km / 4hrs)

Upon arrival at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (Guwahati), our representative will meet and assist you with your transfer to Shillong, the capital city of Meghalaya.
Enjoy a scenic drive of approximately 4 hours. En route, stop at Umiam Lake (Barapani) to admire the picturesque views and perhaps savor some local momos.
If time permits, upon reaching Shillong, visit local attractions like Wards Lake, Don Bosco Museum, and Lady Hydari Park.
Overnight stay in Shillong.

Day 2 Shillong to Cherrapunji – Cherrapunji Sightseeing (150km / 8hrs)

After breakfast, depart for Cherrapunji, one of the wettest places on Earth. On the way, visit:
Elephant Falls A three-tiered waterfall set in the dingles of the rocks.
Shillong Peak: The highest point in Shillong, offering panoramic city views.
Arrive in Cherrapunji and explore
Mawsmai Cave: Famous for its fossils and limestone formations.
Seven Sisters Waterfalls: A seven-segmented waterfall, one of the tallest in India.
Nohkalikai Falls: The tallest plunge waterfall in India.
Living Root Bridges: Unique bridges made from the roots of rubber trees.
Overnight stay in Cherrapunji.

Day 3 Cherrapunji to Kaziranga (370km / 9hrs)

After an early breakfast, begin your journey to Kaziranga National Park in Assam, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for the one-horned rhinoceros.
Enjoy the scenic drive through the lush landscapes of Meghalaya and Assam.
Arrive at Kaziranga by late afternoon or evening.
Overnight stay in Kaziranga.

Day 4 Kaziranga National Park Safari and Sightseeing (80km / 8hrs)

Start your day with an early morning Elephant Safari in the central range of Kaziranga National Park to spot wildlife at close quarters, including the famous one-horned rhinoceros, wild elephants, and various bird species. Return to the hotel for breakfast. Later, visit:
Orchid Garden: Home to a variety of orchid species.
Tea Gardens: Experience the lush green tea plantations Assam is famous for.
Karbi Ethnic Village: Get insights into the local tribal culture.
In the afternoon, embark on a Jeep Safari in the western range of the park for more wildlife viewing.
Overnight stay in Kaziranga.

Day 5 Kaziranga to Guwahati Airport Drop (240km / 5hrs)

After breakfast, check out and proceed to Guwahati. If time allows before your flight, you may visit:
Kamakhya Temple: One of the oldest Shakti Peethas.
Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra: A cultural institution showcasing the heritage of Assam.
Our representative will drop you at the Guwahati Airport/Railway Station for your onward journey, bringing your trip to a pleasant end.

he trip was good overall. The accommodation could be better with hotels are in remote areas specially shongpdeng. Stay in cherapunji was wonderful. Accommodation in Shongpdeng and itinerary plannin (Read More)g. When we specifically mentioned we don't want to stay in camps, booking a room in remote shongpdeng was a mistake. It didn't felt safe in the beginning. It should have been suggested to book a stay in mawlynong.

We planned our Arunachal trip from Gauhati to Tawang and back via kaziranga. Through holidify we found reference of Trikhal Tourism and believe me it was an excellent find. They helped me plan the iti (Read More)nerary, hotel booking , car with driver. And all was perfectly arranged. The driver and the car was excellent. It was a smooth trip with good experience. They took extra care to ensure they took us to good eating joints and market places wherever possible. Highly recommend them if you are planning your trip to Arunachal. One of the Hotel at Bhalukpong - WII international was an average hotel and should be avoided if possible.

We had an amazing experience within our budget. We ate best food. Went to best places and inspite of being vegetarians still did not have any food problem in Meghalaya. Few hotels had geyser and wifi (Read More)problems for which feedbacks have already taken and forwarded by owner. Overall I had the best experience with Trikhal.
