Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Bangalore to Coorg via Mysore
  • Depart from Bangalore in the morning.
  • Drive to Mysore (approximately 3-4 hours).
  • Visit Mysore Palace and explore its grandeur.
  • Explore the beautiful Brindavan Gardens, known for its musical fountain.
  • Continue the journey to Coorg (approximately 2-3 hours).
  • Check into your hotel or resort in Coorg.
  • Spend the evening at leisure, exploring the serene surroundings.
  • Overnight stay in Coorg.
  • Enjoy a delicious breakfast at the hotel.
  • Embark on a full-day sightseeing tour in and around Madikeri, visiting:
    • Talakaveri
    • Nisargadhama
    • Tibetan Monastery
    • Harangi Dam
  • Talakaveri: This is the origin of the river Kaveri, located on the eastern slopes of Brahmagiri Peak at an altitude of 1,350 meters, approximately 8 km by road from Bhagamandala.
  • An enclosure around the spring, called Gundige, is connected to a small pond nearby.
  • The water from the pond goes underground and emerges about one kilometer down the hill.
  • There are three shrines above the spring, offering a bird's eye view of the west coast from the hill range.
  • Overnight stay in Coorg.
  • After breakfast and checking out from your Coorg hotel, you will begin the journey to Ooty (approximately 6-7 hours drive).
  • On the way, as part of your "Coorg outer sightseeing," you will visit the Tibetan settlement of Bylakuppe to see the stunning Golden Temple (Namdroling Monastery).
  • Next, you will visit the tranquil Kaveri Nisargadhama, an island formed by the River Cauvery, which offers a great stop for a picnic or walk.
  • The remainder of the drive will take you through the scenic Bandipur and Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuaries.
  • You will then ascend the hill roads to Ooty, where you will check in for the night.
  • After breakfast, continue exploring Ooty.
  • Visit Sim's Park in Coonoor.
  • Enjoy a ride on the Nilgiri Mountain Railway.
  • Explore the Tea Museum and Tea Gardens.
  • Visit Dolphin's Nose viewpoint for stunning scenery.
  • Return to your accommodation in Ooty for an overnight stay.
  • After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Ooty.
  • Drive back to Bangalore (approximately 6-7 hours).
  • Drop-off at your preferred location in Bangalore, concluding your trip.

We like the arrangements. Hotel @ Coorg and Wayanad was good.
