Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Guwahati to Dirang (390km/9hrs)

Upon arrival at Guwahati Airport (around 8:00 AM), we will receive you and transfer you directly to Dirang. This beautiful valley, located in the foothills of the Himalayas, offers scenic views and several attractions, such as the Dirang Monastery, Dirang Dzong (a historic fort), Tibetan architecture, and a hot water spring.

After breakfast, explore the picturesque Dirang Valley, known for its fruit orchards and serene landscapes. Post-sightseeing, embark on a journey to Tawang, passing through the famous Sela Pass at an altitude of 13,700 ft, one of the highest motorable passes in India. En route, visit the majestic Nuranang Waterfalls and the Jaswant Garh War Memorial. Tawang, situated on the Himalayan mountainside, offers stunning views and historical significance.
Overnight stay in Tawang.

Begin your day with breakfast and visit the breathtaking Shonga-tser Lake (Madhuri Lake), surrounded by snow-capped mountains. Continue to Bum La Pass (subject to road clearance by the Indian Army), which is the Indo-China border located at 15,200 ft. On your return, visit Heart Lake, PTSO Lake, and Naghula Lake (optional sightseeing; local taxi required). In the evening, visit local Tawang attractions, including Tawang Monastery (Asia's second-largest monastery), the Tawang War Memorial, and enjoy a light and sound show.
Overnight stay in Tawang.

After breakfast, depart for Bomdila. Upon arrival, enjoy sightseeing in Bomdila, visiting Buddhist monasteries and the local Craft Center, which showcases traditional handloom products. Explore the local market in the evening before retiring to your hotel for the night.

After breakfast, depart for Guwahati (around 6:30 – 7:00 AM). Upon arrival in Guwahati, we will drop you off at the airport for your onward journey, leaving you with unforgettable memories of your trip to Northeast India.

Trip to Shillong, Kaziranga National Park, Guwahati, Meghalaya

We have a horrible experience with Trikhal Tourism. We have been threatened, chased and hounded after we had to terminate the transport service midway due to very poor service. Pepole from Thrkhal knocked our hotel room almost at midnight at Cherapunji. Take some action againt Thrikhal. I have the recoding of horrfying and threating conversation with the tarnsporer, which I will make public othe (Read More)rwise. This will have a bad impact on Holidify. With the experiments, I will give extremely negative feedback to my family and friends and will never approach holidify for any travel package further.

Trip to Shillong

he trip was good overall. The accommodation could be better with hotels are in remote areas specially shongpdeng. Stay in cherapunji was wonderful. Accommodation in Shongpdeng and itinerary planning. When we specifically mentioned we don't want to stay in camps, booking a room in remote shongpdeng was a mistake. It didn't felt safe in the beginning. It should have been suggested to book a stay (Read More)in mawlynong.

Trip to Tawang, Bhalukpong, Dirang, Bomdila, Tezpur

We planned our Arunachal trip from Gauhati to Tawang and back via kaziranga. Through holidify we found reference of Trikhal Tourism and believe me it was an excellent find. They helped me plan the itinerary, hotel booking , car with driver. And all was perfectly arranged. The driver and the car was excellent. It was a smooth trip with good experience. They took extra care to ensure they took us to (Read More) good eating joints and market places wherever possible. Highly recommend them if you are planning your trip to Arunachal. One of the Hotel at Bhalukpong - WII international was an average hotel and should be avoided if possible.
