Day 1 Arusha – Tarangire National Park
Depart from Arusha in the morning and head to Tarangire National Park, arriving around lunchtime. The park is named after the Tarangire River, which flows across the area and supports a diverse ecosystem. It is characterized by dense acacia and mixed woodland, massive baobab trees, and old doum palms. Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds and the annual animal migration that occurs during the dry season.

After an early breakfast, depart for Ngorongoro Crater, arriving in time for lunch. The Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, serves as a natural enclosure for diverse wildlife. The crater floor supports a population of approximately 20,000-25,000 large mammals, including wildebeest, zebra, gazelles, buffalo, eland, and warthogs. Due to the permanent water supply and rich pastures, many animals remain in the crater year-round.

Depart for Lake Manyara National Park, arriving around lunchtime. The park is famous for its tree-climbing lions and has the highest concentration of elephants per square kilometer in Tanzania. As you enter the park, pass through a lush forest inhabited by baboons and blue monkeys. Explore the Hippo Pool, where buffaloes and hippos are often spotted. The landscape transitions into flat-topped acacia woodlands, where lions can sometimes be seen resting on tree branches. After the game drive, return to Arusha to catch your flight back home.
