Day 1 Nairobi to Amboseli National Park
  • Pickup will be at the airport or your Nairobi hotel.
  • Your safari guide will brief you on what to expect during the safari.
  • Leave Nairobi in the morning and head south, making several stops along the way for scenic views and coffee breaks.
  • Arrive in time for lunch at Sentrim Amboseli Lodge.
  • After relaxing from the 4 to 5-hour drive, embark on your first game drive in search of elephants and other interesting wildlife.
  • End the evening with silhouette photography as the sun sets, while enjoying views of Mount Kilimanjaro with animals in the foreground.
  • Depart from the Lodge after breakfast.
  • Spend the day exploring the magnificent Amboseli National Park.
  • Search for cheetahs, lions, and large herds of elephants, which are the main highlights of this beautiful park.
  • Observe prolific birdlife in the swamps fed by Mount Kilimanjaro, along with hippos, zebras, gnus, and a variety of gazelles and antelope.
  • Experience one of the best elephant safari opportunities, as large herds move in and out of the park in the morning and evening, providing perfect chances for elephant and Mount Kilimanjaro photography.

1. Payment, Cancellation and Refund Policy

You will have to pay a deposit of at least 40% of the booking value for the booking to be confirmed. Please note that the deposit amount varies based on the tour type and shall be notified to you before making the booking.

Once the booking is accepted by us, we shall send you a booking confirmation email with the voucher, which shall serve as a contract between us from the date we send the confirmation. All details about the balance payment which is due before the departure date will be mentioned in the booking voucher. If this balance is not paid on or before the due date, we reserve the right to cancel the booking.

In case of cancellations, the following charges will apply on the amount paid

· 45% if cancelled between 60 and 45 days prior to arrival

· 60% if cancelled between 44 and 30 days prior to arrival

· 100% if cancelled 30 days and 24 hrs. prior to arrival

2. If you Change Your Booking

After your booking has been confirmed, should you wish to make any changes to your itinerary or wish an earlier departure date, we will make every effort to accommodate your requests based on availability. However, there may be extra costs involved to accommodate your request. These costs are in addition to the fee quoted to you for your initial safari. Normal cancellation fees apply if you wish to postpone your departure.

Just went for 8 day safari with James and Wild Portraits Safaris...it was spot on perfect. Reasons 1.Clear communication and replies always comes very quickly on WhatsApp. 2. Very genuine with suggestions and doesn't do things as a job or formality. 3. James is very knowledgeable. 4. The enthusiasm and passion shown by James was just so infectious. 5. Everything went smooth and was detailed. Communication was flawless. The experience was seamless and well organised. please be careful while entering the country at immigration - make sure your passport is stamped. We had some issue with this. Can’t complain about anything else. It was beyond our expectations.

We just came back from our second safari trip with James of Wild Portraits Safari. We had the greatest possible experience during our 9 day-trip from Amboseli (Kenya), to Tarangine, Ngorongoro, Sereng (Read More)eti (Tanzania) and then to the Mara in Kenya. The full trip was well organized and included so many highlights: beautiful sights, the landscapes, the wildlife, James' ability to find the quiet spots with magnificent viewing, great accommodations, breakfast in the Mara, horseback riding amongst buffalo, hyena and giraffes, and of course James' great company, his care for his guests and his drive to make the full experience perfect. We are already planning our next visit and will certainly travel with James again. I highly recommend his services to anyone looking for a fantastic vacation.

James has a great knowledge of the animals, the nature and culture as well. I was impressed of his amazing respect for the wild life.
