Day 1 Arrival at NJP or IXB Bagdogra - Sittiong Ahaldara

You will be received by our tour operators at Siliguri NJP/IXB and transferred to Sittiong Ahaldara. Enjoy the mountain view on the way. Upon arrival, check-in to the homestay and spend the rest of the time at leisure. Overnight stay at Sittiong Ahaldara. In the evening, explore the local market at Ahaldara Sittiong. Take a leisurely walk through the tranquil Sittong village, known for its traditional Lepcha houses and peaceful atmosphere. Stroll through the local orange orchards, best visited during winter (November-February) when in full bloom.

Rise early and head to Ahaldara View Point for a panoramic sunrise view of the Kanchenjunga range and the Teesta River valley (weather permitting). After breakfast, visit Mungpoo (approx. 8 km away) to see the Rabindranath Tagore Memorial House (Rabindra Bhawan), where the Nobel laureate used to stay. Mungpoo is also known for its cinchona plantations. Head to Namthing Pokhari (Salamander Lake), a small natural lake where the rare Himalayan Newt breeds. You will visit the Orange Garden, Maldiram Tea Garden View, and Riyang River at Jogighat. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay at Sittiong Homestay.

Post breakfast, check out and embark on a drive from the hotel to reach New Jalpaiguri railway station (Siliguri) or Bagdogra Airport (Siliguri). Your arrival at the railway station or airport will mark the end of the tour.

When I was given a tour enquiry to the DreamFly, I received a call from DreamFly, a woman voice so gently and motherly tone i.e Mamatha Madam. Fascinated by the way of approach of Mamatha Sister (because I am a Senior Citizen) I have confirmed our family tour with DreamFly as the tour cost has been chalked out so cost concept manner. Mamatha Sister is oftenly asked about problems when we were travelling and suggesting and arranging for better way out for our journey.
