  • After obtaining permits, drive to Thimphu (171 km / 6 hours), the capital city of Bhutan.
  • On the way, visit Kharbandi Gompa, a Buddhist monastery that offers a stunning view of Phuentsholing and the Jaigaon township in the valleys of the Torsa River.
  • Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the selected hotel.
  • After breakfast, drive to Punakha (85 km) via Dochula Pass.
  • If the weather is clear, witness the famous Mt. Gangkhar Puensum, the highest peak in Bhutan.
  • Visit the Hanging Bridge, Chimi Lakhang, and Punakha Dzong.
  • After sightseeing, drive back to Thimphu.

Our package included three hikes in Thimpu, Phobijika valley and Paro. Our guide, Sangay made all hikes very enjoyable and informative sharing his past experiences. He also gave suggestions for shopping in Thimpu/Paro and took us to the local markets and helped us experience the local lifestyle. He was very helpful in taking photos during the trip. The highlight of the trip was the hike to Tiger’s Nest — challenging, but absolutely worth it. The views and the entire experience were simply magical.
