Lyrbe, Manavgat Overview

Lyrbe was an ancient city in the Pamphylia region of Turkey. From the Manavgat city center, it's about 15 kilometers, and to date, well-preserved mosaics showcasing the skill and artistry of the ancient Roman artisans can be witnessed. You can see the remains of Roman buildings, roads, and other structures, diving into the region's cultural past. The ancient city is situated on a hilltop near the coast, offering beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.

Lyrbe's ruins are dispersed across a vast region. City walls, imposing gates, and towers may all be seen among the remains. The agora, which is regarded as the best-preserved architecture of its sort in Pamphylia, is a celebrated structure. There are also the remains of a church, baths, temples, cisterns, tombs, and walls from Lyrbe. Sculptures and mosaics discovered during the excavations are on exhibit at the Antalya Archaeology Museum. The most notable discovery is the "Seven Sages Mosaic." There’s no entry fee to visit the Lyrbe ruins.
