'The Pink City of India' is famous for its beautiful handcrafted architecture and of course lip-smacking food. Hawa Mahal with its several intricate detailing and craft looks wonderful and keeps the (Read More)mahal/palace cool in hot summers. The five-floored hawa mahal looks beautiful in the night and I was lucky to witness the water fountain with the lights on when I visited. The City Palace in Jaipur is an amalgamation of Mughal and Rajput architectures and the green gardens with flowers and water sprinklers look beautiful that you would definitely want to get clicked there. The beautiful white Jantar Mantar is one of the best constructions that provide information about time, space and heavenly bodies. Such a similar structure can be found in Delhi too. I am not highly interested in forts and that's why my must go to place is Chokhi Dhani in Jaipur. Choki Dhani provides you with an insight about how the real Rajasthani culture and lifestyle is. This place is a fun, recreational place to enjoy, eat authentic food and witness live dance and music performances. Daal baati churma and kachodis are famous in Jaipur and you can have them all in Choki Dhani. Classical and tribal performances and katputli events will keep you entertained for the night. You can plan a visit to Jal Mahal as well and I loved watching the birds and enjoying the cool breeze near the palace. Colured bandhini dupattas, block prints, and colourful glass bangles are my favourite things to buy when in Jaipur! The weather is hot so wear cottons and linen and it's better to visit in December-February to avoid sunburns and uneasiness.
